Generally would the Q6600 or the QX6700 be more clockable?

Well, i'm not sure that you'll accept this as enough proof: http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=9128685 because CPU is detected as unknown though FSB detected OK...

Currently I'm running this setup on X6800 and already discovered that FSB 465 is the wall for Conroe too. And yes, I'm pretty aware of the fact that such FSB is definitely strange for Kentsfield but I'm not less sure that it works for me I promise that tomorrow when I'll finish testing X6800 I'll return to Kentsfield and publish all required screenshots + 3DM06 run on 4 cores @ 450+ FSB.

    System details:
EVGA mobo from first samples (I received it before launch date), no matter which BIOS (I used the initial and current - no changes).
    QX6700 ES

Voltages about 1.62V on CPU, 1.5V CPU FSB, 1.5V SPP, 1.6V MCP...

As for "BSing" - you know, I just don't have time for such things. And actually think that it's logical to do so for hardware reviewer

I dont think anyone thinks you were really Bsing...its just i have never seen any results like yours
so that makes this good news i think...hope fully more of us can achieve the same results.
maybe you could give us your bios setting and i could duplicate your setup...and then see what happens
What are you using for cooling?

Heres a follow up at a reasonable voltage say 1.5V and using water what are these chips capable of hitting speed wise?

    I can hit 3.7Ghz at 1.5v.. All 4 cores Prime95 stable ofcourse.

I got a quick question.. How in the hell do i know what voltage is really runing when you select over 1.5v in the bios and it show that the real voltage is below 1.5 in the bios and in windows nvidia shows 1.56v.. What do i believe or what program do i use to see what the real voltage is?

Seems to be very chip related. My Q6600 B0 made it to 325MHz, this Q6600 B3 made it to 390MHz, both on 975X.

i think you should also start mentioning the multiplers ,couse 465x6 is not exactly like 465x9 or 10 for that matter . or is kentsfield in general bad on high fsb?

    400FSB on 975X - that's gotta be a WR.

Kentfield with 975X very hard to get high fsb. 465*6 is much harder than 465*9

It really feels like CPU limitation, not FSB, I can add cpu vcore and increase fsb.

Up at 75C :S - need better cooling.
