    G.skill F1-4000usu2-2gbhz Review & Discussion

    Hi everyone in XS
    i am the new U.S G.Skill Technician
    if everyone has any question about G.Skill product, feel free to pm me

    my 1st test report post in XS is 2GBHZ

    kakaroto had posted the info of the 2GBHZ, but allow me to repeat again

    * Package : 2048MB kit (2x1GB) dual channel pack
    * IC Spec : Samsung UCCC
    * CAS Latency : 3-4-4-8 (PC4000)
    * Test Voltage : 2.6~2.8 V
    * PCB Board : 6 Layers PCB
    * Speed : DDR 500MHz (PC4000)
    * Type : 184-pin DDR SDRAM
    * Error Checking : Non-ECC
    * Registered/Unbuffered : Unbuffered
    * Quality Control : Comprehensive rigorously tested in pair at dual channel environment
    * Warranty : Lifetime

    I was going to post the pic of tested ram, however, G.Skill Taiwan isn't send me the digi cam yet, and i forget the bring it from Taiwan.......... sorry eveyone.

    my test system is
    CPU: AMD 4800+ 0513TPMW
    Motherboard: DFi NF4 U-D bios 0510-1
    OS: Windows XP 32bit

    some tests had post by kakaroto, the main force for this test will be in max overclocking in 32M and SP2004

    DDR560


    DDR560 EVEREST

    finally, DDR570


    2GBHZ overclocking is around 270~280 with very low voltage just like kakaroto stated. this is my 1st review posted in XS, if i made any mistake, please tell me. thank you

    the g.skill 2gb sets are looking more tempting every day, might have to join in the mayhem. Very comprehensive report, i'm sure bachus will thank you for the 32m, he seems to have it drilled into everyone now and welcome

    GJ there , Im so torn between Gskillz and Ballistix and now OCZ has new ram around the corner too . Damn these choices to hell . ARRGHH I hate being a Libran .

    Wow...280 1:1? That pulls 1:1 speeds better than my 2x512mb redline...may have to sell this and get that 2gb helps in BF2 as well hahaha double bonus.

    not to throw a spanner in the works even more, but ive recently been informed there will be a geil product in the 'performance 2Gb' sector , i should have a review in a few weeks i hope.

    Even better , more choices for the end user. I always liked geil , ever since the geil golden dragon days. I had a 1 gb kit which is going strong still , goes upto DDR500 and its DDR400 specs. Geil has never disappointed me .

    That being said , Gskill is my newest latest hottest mistress .

    This time I use FX57
    motherboard is the same one i use last time DFi NF4 Bios 703-1
    FX57 is faster than 4800, but its memory controlor is not as good as 4800.



    DDR560 3-4-4-8 32M



    Sandra, the memory bandwidth is 200MB/s higher than 4800+
