How well do the 3000+'s overclock?

I got a chance to get a 3000+ new for $150 cheaper then I can get it in a store and was wondering how well these oc? I got a 1700+ dlt 0310 doing 11x225 2,2,3,3 DC 1.8v now and would like to know if anyone has been able to hit 225-230fsb with this cpu? I do need another cpu for my gf's computer, cause she's becoming quite the little gamer .

not sure what the stepping is, and correct me if i'm wrong don't all bartons have the same stepping? Right now i'm using a wicked 1700+ that is only 2 weeks old and running 2.475ghz (11x225 DC sync) 2,2,3,3 1.8v in my 1 week old Abit NF7-S 2.0. I'm using 2x256 Ocz 3500el dc with a msi geforce4 4400. I have got 15500 as you can see in my sig, but also have scored 15670 and not saved it . I have 2x256 Twinmos 3200 BH-5 on the way as well as a Hercules 9700 pro oem. I'm pretty much selling my ge4 and the slower of the 2 rams to get the 3000+ and will have $100 left over .

Oh and those 1700+ scores are also on air cooling by an slk-800 w/TT smart fan 2.

I'm just thinking for the price. If it's not that great I could probably just sell it.

i would never buy one. the 2800 is so much less(kinda) and the clock is such a little differance.. i woudl get the 2800 if any. or maybe try out a 3200? since you seem to have some extra blingage.

it seems pretty even to me. i say the 2800 or 2500 is the best bang for the buck.

My 3000+ retail came with the same new aqxda steppings that the 3200+ has. All the bartons give or take a few will do about 2500 +/- on air if you are lucky.
