    Asus P5N32-E SLI Plus

On Asus support site there's a manual E2979 for the P5N32-E SLI Plus. I took this pics of the cover page of the manual.

Name:	Asus P5N32-E SLI Plus.PNG
Views:	5157

Could this mean that Asus has already scrapped the non Plus version and will be releasing a new Plus version? Could this be why the P5N32-E SLI page was remove from the North American site? If there is something wrong with the P5N32-E SLI what about all of use who own them? I'd bet this is the reason there hasn't been any reviews on such sites as AnandTech.

I didn't see any differences between the E2929 and the E2979 manuals except for the cover page. They both have 158 pages.

Do any of you insiders have the scoop of what's going on?

That link is for the Global site. If you look up where the dropdown box is you can see part of the word Global.

    Here's the North American site:

    http://usa.asus.com/products2.aspx?l1=3&l2=11

Click on the NVIDIA nForce® 680i SLI™ chipset section and no P5N32-E SLI.

yerp; my guess is that rev2 p5n32-e will not be released retail until striker has milked the rich kid market...also, so many baords get sold in ASIA first b4 Europe and U.S. ...you know i'm really tempted by the striker, but it's 200AUD too expensive. If the PLUS turns out to be a slightly improved rev1. @ the same price i'll have one please. Either that or a cheaper striker. i mean looking at the caps and chippies and resistors the striker looks almost identical to the p5n32-e

The p5n32-e PLUS is available for PRE-ORDER in Australia. Skimming the manual, it looks like a striker manual with a new cover page.

Obviously someone needs to get hold of one to test; i havent seen any tests anywhere.

When you put that review up please explain what's wrong with the P5N32-E SLI and why Asus has stopped shipping it. Did we get screwed if we bought a P5N32-E SLI?

    16x via the 650i chip, 16x + 8x via the 590 SLI chip.

so yes it has full 2x16x support, ive checked manual and the chipset configuration makes it possible.

Have done some testes over the evening here, flashed the 0408 bios and she does 8x455 4-4-4-8-1T stable. With my E6400.

Cuz of the Vcore holes!? Yes thats right! I can only squeeze 1.42v to my cpu, So max i can run is 8x455, i booted an did a spi run @ 470. Its like 3AM here and i need to get some shut eye :P

D'You mean, that CP core vid droops to 1.42v, while seting more then 1.42? What is the max voltage value fore CPU in Bios?
The main question from non-plus version owners: does the problem of 1.47v for core vid remain in Plus-version?

Got my P5N32-E SLI Plus yesterday to....haven´t done any OC yet thou...but will do during the next days. Took som pics of it...and here some of them.

It´s been rather lot of buzzing on the net about this one...and what asus has cooked up this time. So let´s see what the got packing here.

So basiclly they took A Striker PCB slaped on a 650i chipset (tweaked and opend it up a bit)...then throwed in a 590SLI southbridge to get the full SLI support...and then left alot of bios and voltage tweaking open á la 680i...and voliá, we got your self a Asus P5N32-E SLI Plus

Here´s everything 100% default right out of the box...like 1T Commandrate by default and only att 1.9vdimm auto set by bios.
Alos they have moved to Award bios it seemse...no complains here.

I´ll be back with some sOC screens as I get them.
So far board is absolutly stable..no glitches at all...running 0402 bios.

Max selectable voltage in bios are 1.9v, But it dosent matter wat i set it to. over 1.4v that is. Selecting 1.55, still gets me max 1.42, setting 1.6v gives mi 1.42. I dont want to select any more if the boards decide to actually change the voltage to the setting i select.

omg...i cant beleive it...instead of makin better boards, asus with new revision just made a worse one?

vocre max 1.42v ??? thats it? not at least 1.47v as the non-plus version??

    thats sick!

what abt performance... is it lower then non-plus for the 650i chip or what?

sorry for all this question but i was lookin to buy one...

    thanks man...

I'm happy with my plus. i got nothing to complain.. But what's the difference in performance with the non-plus and the plus? Does the chipset makes that great difference?
