"Quick" test, Ninja vs Infinity(64k warning)

currently testing the Ninja versus the Infinity (and stock cooler with 80mm yate)
its only a lapped 146 @ 2.5 and stock voltage for now, dont know if ill test it with 1.6v(or so) today or tomorrow. Wont be testing the stock cooler much either (duh).

Im not finnished yet. I have lapped the cpu and took a quick look at the temp with stock cooler and it went from 48 with 23 ambient to 45.5 with 24 ambient. Thats nice!

And now its the ninja wich is in the case... fanless.
So aint got much yet but can post some pictures of lapping and case and stuff...

(ill be right back with some pictures...)

sure i am very glad that you r sharing ur results, but PLEASE can you test them using a hot dual core cpu ?

btw i think this is a very dangerous way to hold the cpu while lapping, please be careful cause i will hate seeing ur cpu die before the review

    hmm. look at this picture:

like it is right there the cpu loads at 43c... fanless! only case fans cooling it down. guess ill just switch to infinity fanless and check it. Then just bump the voltage and oc it some more and do some more thorough testing from there. No point in testing more @ 1.35v 2.5ghz....

Btw, do the pictures show up twice or once? the last one came up twice so i removed the link in the text. Why is it like that sometimes and sometimes not?

Edit: dammit! whats max voltage on a8r-mvp? i forgott that it proobaly wont give more like 1.55 or something. its my volt modded asrock wich could have given it 1.6v... well, ill give it max at the a8r atleast...

    its about 24c...

this is software measurrement so i wouldnt call it very accurate, much more interresting to se the difference on different setup. Btw, seemed like the ninja leveled out at 35c with yate on it. So i dont think its that far off. but can never be shure!

ive mounted the infinity fanless now and its hotter!
    Dammit! upside down infinity! hehe.
There u see the room temp... the bottom one!

no problem. after all its very important to know! i try to keep the temp as close to 24 as possible. without AC...

Edit: The Infinity is now stable a full 2k above the Ninja. so 45c for that one.
Gonna call it a night and test more tomorrow!

Edit2: well just had to slap the yate on it! 1k lower than ninja! so 34c...

    that gives us:

    Stock cooler with 80mm yate (2k) 48C
stock cooler with 80mm yate lapped 45.5C
    infinity fanless 45C
    ninja fanless 43C
    ninja with 120mm yate (1.3k) 35C
    infinity with 120mm yate 34C

    Thats with 24c ambient and opt 146 @ 2.5Ghz and 1.35v!

Are those all idle results? If not, what are you using to load the cpu? Orthos? Folding@Home for team XS?

Back in testing. Just bumped the voltage. 1.45v+ overvoltage wich i think is 0,1v wich makes it 1.55v

Still on infinity.... it was 40c with the yate. Now im testing it fanless and seemes like its going to flaten out at 57c

    okay, final results!
ninja was 40.5c with the yate but only 52c fanless so thats quite a bit of difference from the infinity
i put the side panel on and the temp dropped to 49
So thats its. the ninja is whats mounted now and its mounted fanless! with the 146 @ 2.5Ghz and 1.35v it keeps the cpu 43c
