Can you post some feedback about the sound and especially sound crackling / poping issue ?

Do you have sound issue with your mobo ?

Bios 505 perhaps solve the problem but I'm not sure.

I have P5N32-E SLi nF680 bios 405 and I HAVE THE SOUND ISSUE.

Just ordered a Striker but scared about sound :/

Can anyone else confirm the memory bandwidth loss at anything over 1600fsb , ive run everest cache and memory test and Sandra and i lose alot of bandwidth when running 1600+fsb
here at 1700FSB vs 1600FSB you can see a 1000mb/s difference in memory read in everest and latencies have increased slightly. The difference get even worse the higher you go at 3600mhz its horrendous latencies jump to 78 and mem read goes to 10000.

I looked at your pics of everest memory read a 3-3-3 1t and i find them actually quite low, i mentionned earlier in this thread about memory bandwidth loss at FSB over 1600.
Look at at my memory read in the link below and im running @ 4-4-4-12 1T@800 with 2.1v

FYI, B1 stepping core2 have lower reported everest bandwidth than B2 stepping clock for clock

Ok perhaps there is a difference between b1 and b2 stepping in memory bandwidth, i dont think there can be a 6000mb/s difference when he's running ddr2 900 at 3-3-3 1t, im scoring 17k at ddr800 4-4-4-12 1T and he's scoring 11-12k at 4.2ghz something is quite wrong there. In know way am i trying to jack this thread i just wanna be sure his system is running 100% he should be hitting about 20k if not more in everest memory read.

My L631B cpu initial testing at 3.6ghz, realised core temp and probe reads about the same temps. Idle 33deg, load 54deg in a 29 deg room.

    1.2v HT = 1.45v, NB = 1.4v, Vdimm = 2.32v all others set to auto.

In small ffts, and I'm trying without the air con now, coretemp seems to report lower than the probe now, coretemp=60deg, probe=63deg.

weird must be B2 diff from B1 steppings

    @3600Mhz - 9x400FSB at 1.39v

On Asus 680i Striker Extreme it seems 3600Mhz handles fine at 1.39v vcore under load so far. I used 2x512MB OCZ PC5400 Platinum XTC 3-3-3-12 memory for the tests.

    Settings used:
    AI Tuning: Manual
    Nvidia GPU Ex: Disabled
    LinkBoost: Disabled

FSB - Memory Clock Mode: Unlinked
    x FSB - Memory Raio: N/A
FSB (QDR), Mhz: 1600 (means 400FSB)
    Actual FSB (QDR), Mhz: 1600
MEM (DDR), Mhz: 800 (means 400mhz speeds)
    Actual MEM (DDR), Mhz: 880.2

Vcore Voltage: 1.525 set (1.42v bios/1.41v windows idle/1.39v windows load)
    Memory Voltage: 2.100v
    1.2v HT Voltage: 1.3v
    NB Core Voltage: 1.4v
    SB Core Voltage: 1.55v

    PCIEX16_1 Frequency (Mhz): 100
    PCIEX16_2 Frequency (Mhz): 100
    PCIEX16_3 Frequency (Mhz): 100
    SPP<->MCP Ref Clock, Mhz: 200

Prime95 v25.1 multi-threaded dual small FFTs priming for ~1hr 18mins before I stopped it. Interesting that even coretemp reported cpu temps fluctuated alot more jumping between 59C to 68C while priming.

    Post Prime idle temps:

Asus PC Probe2 reported voltages vs Digitech QM1538 Digital Multimeter measurements while under load @2400mhz at 1.3875v bios set (1.28v vcore idle / 1.26v vcore load).

    +3.3v rail = 3.26v vs 3.387v real
    +5v rail = 4.78-4.89v vs 5.02v real
    +12v rail = 11.78v vs 12.23v real

So @ 3600MHz and DDR2 1200 this board is a hair slower than mine in pi1m and a full minute faster @ pi32m. Interesting.

Well for me it says 0505, maybe you need to refresh your browser. It's there.
