Upgrade de bios to 0505 and try to find the max FSB with the E6700, here is it :

    More detailed Everest info :

Now testing the limit of the memory on this board

DDR1200 4-4-4-11 not to bad , let's see the bandwith in Everest..

And finally the max with low timmings and 1T

    450Mhz 3-3-3-9 1T - not bad

    More to come

Addenda : Per user request here are some photos of the bios settings used

Same here, I flashed back to 0402 as 0505 was hanging the bios screens, trying to boot off my secondary hard drive and other wierd stuff.

Kinda sucks such an expensive board is not stable enough to do 500fsb+. Hopefully they figure it out and fix the problem through bios.

Seeing that your ram can do such crazy speed but rated at speed so slow. Why would they do that? Was this a mistake or they intentionally sold super good ram rated at lower speeds?

What version of everest are you using? Every everest i've tried does not show the mem timings with the 680i. You seem to have a good board. Mine will not do what yours is doing. Congrats!

So far this is what i can get stable........... cant seem to get my memory at 1200mhz like i did on the eVGA board, but the eVGA kept giving me BSOD's and random hangs........this board has been much more stable to me than the eVGA.......

why would you increase voltages other then vcore and the memory voltage?

  22. #22
This board is looking good Pedro. Still haven't pulled mine from the box How do you like it compared to the EVGA for 3d performance so far? SLI?
Kinc's results show some real potential with it.
It would be great if you could do some mem divider performance comparisons to EVGA mobo with the cpu cold pushed over 4.8ghz.
Maybe I am jumping ahead as you havent gotten that far yet..

OK XtremeLegend I'm gonna put my 8800GTX's on it, and I will post some air cooling 3D results

Before you put it on LN2 strongly advise you to find and do the VCore / VDrop mod, the board undervolts quite a bit specially with higger voltages (1.9v in bios should a bit less than 1.8v real)..

For now my moded EVGA 680i, will remain on the mini-cascade - for xtreme overclocking this board (like alomst any mobo) needs some mods.. Shamiho we need you
