As far as I know, using the DS3 with this ram wont be a great experience. I have the DS3 and it is a great board, just freaking HATES D9 memory. Your best chance with this ram will be with the F8i BIOS. You can find that in the DS3 OCing thread here. Good luck.
    Nothing anymore

well hey, ill get a new board eventually , and i was just reading around, supposedly this stuff is really quite amazing. Right now im using XMS 6400C5 (promos chips) they are ok, but fairly high latency.

hmm about 380mhz 3-2-2. around 500 4-3-2 for a nice set. higher volts could get you further. but im not sure how it does on DS3 or 965 in general.

My generic d9dqw's did ~ 900 4-3-3-9 @ 2.1vdimm. Didn't try tighter timings, and havent bothered Vmodding for em yet because Cpu wont do 450x8 stable on air without throttling, so it'd be kinda pointless.

just test it and see how you go

if they don't post there is a trick you can do but be careful not to kill something

you are doing this at your own risk and here it is here

    @ 400 4-3-3 right now with 2.1 volts, i think that will be a good 24/7

actually in bios (f7) i have it set to 4-3-2, CPU-Z shows 4-3-3, strange. any ideas?

actually, they are just extremely wide chips, there are only 8 of them (per side), it looks like 2 normal BGA's stuck together, very strange looking, but its the way they are, i think im gonna tear down the beast in a bit to lap the cpu, so i can snag a pic of the rams

yeah 16 chips like he said.

1gb fatbodies just arent as common, although there is alot of it around.

well tore it all down, found out (just by random testing) that the "red" slots on my DS3 wont clock the mem as high, as it kept restarting until i figured that out lol. I also got about a 4-5c drop in temps with a lapping to the CPU

bah, and this stupid DS3 does not like this at all, i think ill use these in teh backup, put the corsair 6400c5 back in here

I can't say if fatbodies are different from d9gmh but my ds3 rev2 f7 doesn't seem to be having trouble.
