basically there's 6 plastic tabs(only 4 visible) and 2 screws.(one of which is holding a ground wire from the front panel). take off the 2 screws, and then undo the 4 tabs that you can see. the last part kinda scares me every time i do it, but u gotta basically wiggle it around and pull up, but not too tough because there are wires hanging down.

    http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/24...mm-replacement

This is toms hardware version and there is a diagram, and better description.
the screws are highlighted in yellow, and its had to see but there are faint yellow circles around the locations of the plastic tabs

(probably should have read the post right after b4 i posted but o well maybe someone else will need it.)

    Anybody Interested ?

I need to buy a spare side panel for my 900 (the solid one not the windowed one). Any ideas?

As i cant seem to find one anywhere i was considering buying a new case and reselling the chassis, windowed panel, 200mm fan, drive caddies, 120mm fans, etc to others who are also unable to find spare parts, or want to try modding without having to pull their own 900 to pieces first.

Prices would be low - just enough to recover most of my outlay and postage!

    Anyone interested ??

Absolutely, I would be interested in one of the front drive caddies with fan and a couple of the 120 mm fans if you decide to do this.

I have a spare right solid panel. I ordered it thinking it was the windowed panel, because it said "left side panel". When looking at the case from the front, the "left" panel is the "windowed" panel.

    It wasn't.

So I ended up making my own full window mod. I am saving that extra blank panel for a custom laser-etched design.

You can find one on Antec's site, like previously mentioned. I think it came to $23 after shipping.

Buy a PSU that only breathes in from the front.

Cut a hole in the bottom of the case and put a filter over it.

A dremel is better for square cuts. Your best bet to make a perfect hole for the PSU is a 4-1/2" hole saw, attached to a drill.

Drill it slow. It will turn out beautiful.

Hey zowle, not sure what FSB and multiplier you are running, but I've had good luck with my E6600 at 3.2Ghz, running 400 x 8 multiplier. I think the only voltages changes I made was bumping the NB up a step or two. Runs rock solid stable, and even Folding@Home 100% core, it runs around 45-46 deg C in my 900 with a Tuniq Tower 120 cooler.

Just a little info, in case you wanna do a little more tweaking.

Hey, i was wondering how you guys got the acrylic feet with the blue LEDs to fit under the PSU on this case. I'm having trouble with this. Any help or tips for this?

    Thanks.

I mounted mine on the sides of the PSU, out of the way. I then matched that same distance on the front two feet.

I hot glued the wires flat to the floor and the PS fit. Mounted the switch on the bottom too:

The feet reallty are ugly if they are not lit.. but look really good if they are IMHO

I'm cooler than you now tho since I use "above average" black rubber feet.

Why did you glue them Sailing Bunny?
You had to drill holes for the LEDs anyway, so why not drill small holes for the screws? Because I think that glued 'plastic' is not very adhesive to metal.

Oh btw.... those feet are ugly in ANY way... lit or not

    Here's my Antec 900:

Done a bunch of modifications to it since this thread gave me tons of ideas...
    • Basic hole cutting for cable management
    • Painted it semi-gloss black
    • Cut some new water cooling holes
    • I did cut the hole in the bottom for my PSU since I used to have a OCZ GameXStream but now its useless
    • Installed mesh filters into 6 drive bays (the ones with fans)
    • Cut a hole in the top tray for a fillport and another for the ASUS LCD Poster wire

It's kept me busy for sure especially since it was my first time really modifying a case. It'll be hard to part with it when I finally decide to move up to a full tower.

lol.. I didn't hot glue the feet.. the wire to the floor as stated. Kept it from moving as I installed the PS. Tight fit.

Here is a sexxxy pic of the fugly feet for your viewing pleasure PlasticRush!

Oh I picked up 4G of Cruical Tracer with the blue LEDs and a Thermaltake A2417 Flare Pad Blue LED Mouse Pad to go with the theme.
