I was reading this thread and found that Redbeard offered this solution:

Keep in mind this will only work with 8500C5 parts, and nothing else. Also, if you have non-8500C5 parts and use this file, you'll likely screw up your memory and also be out of warranty.

This will not void the warranty on 8500C5 parts, though, since there were a small number that left the factory with an SPD error due to a faulty SPD writer.

I'm not sure, I'll forward this to Redbeard. I recently helped a guy do this flash that was having an issue using his EPP profiles but, I have no idea regarding your CAS 0.0.

The only thing this affects is using EPP settings on the board. If you don't use EPP, the fix is useless. What happened was that the CAS latency setting for the EPP was corrupted on a handful of modules, so when you enable EPP, instead of setting the memory to 5-5-5-15 @ 1066 MHz @ 2.2V, it tries to set it to 0-5-5-15 @ 1066 MHz @ 2.2V, which doesn't work, because while our memory is pretty good, it's not quite CAS 0 good.
