It will do higher than 511 but from XP only at this time, Oskar may add more options to bios though.
I will say with async ram clocking higher multi cpu's really are the way to go now keeping 500fsb the real max limit.

Just so you know.
FSB CPU 511 max thru bios
MEM FSB 658 Thru bios, so 1316 max DDR2

Please tell me the manual for that tells me what a PLL is instead of being like the DAGF and giving me what a sata or ide port is in 19 languages
Those settings are amazing. It makes this ASUS look crippled.. not that it doesn't already look crippled. I want to have that board's children.

Could you share some insight as to why they downgraded this part of the chipset Tony? I understand you don't feel it makes a noticable impact as you've already stated, but I'm curious if you have any idea why the decision was made?Originally Posted by Tony
Thanks btw for all your info on this and your continuing work with it Tony.

FARK!
Just seen the BIOS screen, how on EARTH can we already be passing judgement on this board?!?! It'll take MONTHS to get this board configured right testing all those settings
This board has SERIOUS potential and if it's already hitting 511 odd MHz then the future is defiantly bright for the RD600
well BIOS max is 511MHz, you can't set it higher (in this rev. of BIOS)...Originally Posted by Johnny Bravo

RD600 is actually quite old, I have a board here from over a year ago using a very early version of the chipset.Originally Posted by EnJoY
As far as i know there are 14 revisions of the chipset now, 13 and 14 being the best.
So....this chipset was actually designed ways back with RD480 which was 8 x 8 also.
EDIT: AMD just corrected me, 4 revisions of RD600, 13 and 14 being the 3rd and 4th...so 4 respins overall.

Jeez..well good thing it won't be widely available till spring, I'll have plenty of time to save for a new setup.
