It will do higher than 511 but from XP only at this time, Oskar may add more options to bios though.

I will say with async ram clocking higher multi cpu's really are the way to go now keeping 500fsb the real max limit.

Its 16X with one card or 8x8 with 2, issue is just like Nf4 its fast with dual cards, I actually feel 16X 16X is not needed.

FSB CPU 511 max thru bios
MEM FSB 658 Thru bios, so 1316 max DDR2

Please tell me the manual for that tells me what a PLL is instead of being like the DAGF and giving me what a sata or ide port is in 19 languages

Those settings are amazing. It makes this ASUS look crippled.. not that it doesn't already look crippled. I want to have that board's children.

All we can suggest if you own the board is to check the download page periodically to see what is available.

    FARK!

Just seen the BIOS screen, how on EARTH can we already be passing judgement on this board?!?! It'll take MONTHS to get this board configured right testing all those settings

This board has SERIOUS potential and if it's already hitting 511 odd MHz then the future is defiantly bright for the RD600

well BIOS max is 511MHz, you can't set it higher (in this rev. of BIOS)...

RD600 is actually quite old, I have a board here from over a year ago using a very early version of the chipset.

As far as i know there are 14 revisions of the chipset now, 13 and 14 being the best.

So....this chipset was actually designed ways back with RD480 which was 8 x 8 also.

EDIT: AMD just corrected me, 4 revisions of RD600, 13 and 14 being the 3rd and 4th...so 4 respins overall.

I take it super pi matters to you?

    some facts for this board.

It runs sli damn fast with a special driver. It clocks ram as high as commando, it does xfire just fine and has the ability to bond the dual lan also.

I can't see why you would make a comment about a board just because i say its 0.05 secs slower at Pi 1M?

0.05 secs not so bad, for a better Pi run we oc more
I like the board, but only 100 pcs before xmas its very very limited.. i dont understand DFI, they could sell more only in this 2 weeks i think

#251 But which board will be faster in Pi and 3D, and which can get higher fsb.. its secret too

    #254 I hope so
