    The $1099 TigerDirect price is for an OEM chip, which means very limited warranty.

    You will probably see prices dropping after Christmas.

    I still can't find any QFX parts anywhere at any price. It's quite funny to keep seeing price comparisons between the readily available QX6700 and vapor-QFX est price per 1000.

    newegg has a pricing engine, they dont set the prices on thier own and intentionally gouge, its run by a computer that looks at the selling rate in comparison to stock and if something is selling at a high rate the price keeps going up until the rate slows enough to stabalize thier stock. My understanding of it is very basic, just wanted to explain so people would stop saying newegg is trying to rip people off.
