    how?

I use liquid tape everywhere. On all my cards and also my Maximus IV Extreme without any problems.

Liquid Tape + Armaflex is my way to go. Perfect electrical insulation and Armaflex provides a good thermal insulation.

It was my fault, I put a lot on and tilted the board up so it would get under the chip-set coolers, well it got into my socket and I could nt get my cpu out and It was a mess.
Same thing happened to my 775 board but it didnt hurt it.

Is it possible to melt the liquid tape out of the socket area with out hurting the board?

I don't think it's possible to melt it as liquid tape is dissolver based and the dissolver went away when drying it...
