    e6300 + Gigabyte 965p S3

I would like to get some ram (2x512) that will get me to 2.8ghz without hurting me in the pocket too much. I was looking at the following memory and would like some advice of wisdom

Do you know how well it might over-clock? Not expecting it to do wonders with such a cheap budget for memory (150ish with tax and shipping)?

    I vote for Crucial.
Confirmed D9GMH -> will be good for E6300 that runs @ high FSB.
    Well worth Xtra $$

You never know what s**t they`ll put on ValueRAM

What about the TWIN2X1024A-5400UL, how does that compare with the crucial ballistix?

D9 memory doesn't work very well with the DS3/S3's. FSB is limited to around 450.

I guess you can wait for a BIOS update.

I have the Ballistix that is linked and my 965P-S3 loves them. Only better is the Patriot 2x512 PC8400 for another $50.... They do 3-3-3-11 at DDR775 @ 2.1Vdimm...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820146568 by far the best choice.

i have that exact setup. E6300/S3/Ballistix

i've reached 540fsb. the S3's i've worked with all hit 500fsb with ease. those ballistix did 1100 for me.
