Lovely, but too bad it's €72.960, which is $93.400. Where did you find this car for $41k? Was it second hand with 100K miles on it or someting?Originally Posted by NoX

Sounds like it's still the 2007 infiniti G35 sedan - basically a BMW 5series for a lot cheaper and a lot faster...

Been reading up on Infinity a little and it seems they come to Europe in 2008. Can't wait so long. Indeed it offers great value for the money, but it's not really an option. Too much hassle and warranty issues to get one from the US.

Seems like I was looking at the the all road Quattro. The "normal" Quattro 3.2FSI Triptronic is still 54k Euro here though. It's above our budget. As I said Dutch prices are really ridiculous.Originally Posted by NoX

Import a merc from Germany, a nice 210 E-Class with 320CDI engine, 0-60 in ca 8 sec and very good fuel economy. And most important of all its great to drive

As far as I have understood, when you import a car in the EU, even from another EU country, you have to pay taxes and what not, according to the laws of your own country... It's not like hardwareOriginally Posted by Kallenator

Yes you are right, but thats not the point. Cars overall are cheapest in Germany. Especially Merc's. So instead of buying one in your own country you could buy it in another and at least get it a little cheaper.Originally Posted by DTU_XaVier

Nothing wrong with being too lazy to shift though. Some people just don't like to do it on the daily commute. Depending where you live you can be shifting a lot, and some cars are more comfortable than others with regards to shifter placement, height, smoothness, etc.

its not looking like a fast car, but a 3.2l V6 makes this car faster than you think :pOriginally Posted by HungryForHertz

That's very interesting. Do you happen to know if your dad is able to claim warranty on local Merc dealers/garages?Originally Posted by Kallenator

Mercedes A200 Turbo
New Mini Cooper S (my mom loves this car and it's fast)
New Civic (type-R?)
VW Golf GTI/R32
New Ibiza or Altea (XL)
Audi A4 Quattro (maybe, if we can get a good price in Germany)
Sorry guys, no Impreza, RX8 or other sports cars. Also the new BMW 3 series isn't an option. It's expensive and it doesn't look as good as the old model. The BMW 1 series is kinda nice looking, but it isn't very good value for the money.
Anyone knows if Mercedes and other brand's warranties cover chip tuning? I guess not, but I still like to know for sure.

RX-8's are awful for reliability. Plus, rotaries are the most finicky engine I've ever seen(I work at a mazda dealer, we get in an average of 2-3 a week that need an engine swap).Originally Posted by thewildblue

BMW 325I - Also quite fast
Saab 93 aero - V6 turbo ^^
And about the warenty.. You can let ur audi be chipped true the dealer since abt is part of audi afaik. And also at most car tuners theyll give u a 3 year warenty..
