Kemo, you might wanna check G.Skill HZ http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=128995 says that his HZ is D9GCT not D9GMH. They might have changed to GCT now. Timing and OC wise, which one is better?

I am pretty sure that they are not using GMH in the kits available right know due to high demand on Micron ICs that raise the prices as you noticed but still there is people bought in October and found D9GMH

Right know G.Skill and Geil switched to GCT (instead of GMH and GKH) and OCZ/Corsair goes GMH (instead of some GKX on all high rated moduels)
So basically the GMH got higher rating by micron (that the GMH) but Still the GCT can achieve good results and sometimes overclocks better that the GMH any way both are good and you won’t go wrong with either so you choice should depend on price/availability

Hmmm and now the cheapest 2x1GB memory using GMH (100%) is Crucial 667 ?

I've heard the GA-965P-DS3 (my mobo) is finicky with d9 mods, is this true, or still a cause for concern.

    You’re welcome
Team makes a great memory and will serve you well with phase cooling

The P5B-Deluxe overall is better than DS3 but you can use that memory with DS3 but won’t overclock as good as the P5B-deluxe any way you can run @ DDR1000 Cas5 pretty easy with the DS3

Any way I can’t say get this or get that it is not my choice it is all yours

    Hi guys,
I'm having some mad issues with my Team PC2 6400/DDR2 800 4-4-4-10. I don't think the spd is optimized enough, sticks require extremely high voltages to run on my Abit AW9D-Max/Bad Axe 2. They won't post (single stick) with default voltages 2.0. On the Bad Axe 2, I have to raise voltages to around 2.3 for either stick to post. I want to flash a DDR2 667 Team Xtreem spd to my sticks, I believe this will offer better post to my boards. I will need a good samaritan here to create and pm an spd image of your Team Xtreem DDR2 667 3-3-3-8 (2 Gigabyte Kit) Original post says the two sticks are the same. Oh, thaiphoon burner will do the trick. Thanks in advance.

2.3V to post on to different mobos that means that there is something wrong with your sticks try to report that issue to team because it is more likely that you got defective sticks

Thaiphoon Burner is designed for those who are in need of getting all available information from SPD about memory modules. It enables you to reprogram SPD directly or in the special emulation mode. Thaiphoon Burner can load external SPD dumps and flash them into current EEPROM. Thaiphoon creates a highly detailed report that can be saved after in a separate file.

    CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)

I believe the list shows them as Micron D9DQW (BT-37E).

If so shouldn't they be listed on the first page? Pretty cheap after rebate if its actually D9.

^ Hard to say. Ramlist only shows:

    PC6400 TWIN2X 5.0-5-5-12 Micron D9DQW (BT-37E)

Both of the ram we posted has the TWIN2X in the model number and both run 5-5-5-12, PC6400.

I would like to know as well. The stuff you posted bofors is damn cheap for no rebate.

Promos is used on 90% of the modules Corsair Builds bellow XM2S-6400C5, only XM2S-8500 and faster use Micron IC's.

So the firestix don't use gmh's anymore but Elpida AG-6E-E. Anyone know how those fair in terms of o/c headroom? I'm trying to figure out what ic's I have in my firestix. I bought at the end of november and imagine them to be gmh but haven't been able to open heatspreader. Seeing 400 3-3-3-8 @ 2.0v and 500 4-4-4-12 @ 2.2v. Sounds like pretty decent results, even for gmh, no?

how about something below 250$? Doesn't have to be D9, but what would be a cheaper alternative that will still OC quite well? I was looking at DDR2 2GB kits, but don't have much cash available atm.
