Someone needs to pay more attention in class...

I said I'm my next birthday will start my 6th decade. That means I'll have finished 5 of them. When I turn 50 means I've finished 5 full decades...
Funny thing about numbers that way.

you've got the same age as my parents, Mike. You could have been the grandfather of some of the youngsters on our team

This is really an eye opener for me , never thought there were so many 'elder guys' (with all respect ) in our team. pretty cool team we have

My niece has my Ivory Slide Ruler that mu father gave me in Junior Year HS. I could do Cube roots and square roots and logs (both base e and base 10 ) faster than the rich dumb asses that had calculators.

I dont own a cell phone either, neither did I have a beeper while at work.

And yes I remember the red engine cart , I used to carry the BOXES of punched cards I needed for my statisticl projects. I was lucky that when I went for my MA, I became a ressearch assistant which granted me the privilege of having work study kids to punch and recheck my cards for punching errors.

    19 here!

I'd loe to see how age relates to crunching power! (im guessing generally the older, the more power... but it'd be fun finding out)

You are correct, it would be interesting. In my case it seem that I have a little more money to piss away than I did when I was younger. Maybe i'm just spending it better
