Vapor...when alex is messing with the server, things will go up and down...and another thing to consider is full harddisks at the destination...and with this raid going on..data really is raping the destination...
PS
I meant what I said...I'm still waiting for the nude picture to show up....

I don't know if it's a problem at their end tbh.....if I manually press the "Start Upload now" button immediately after the previous one finishes or errors, I can make some headway (maybe 5 a minute....), but on "autopilot" the program makes no effort to upload and I'm getting eerily close to the 200 max completed barrels that we're allowed on each system
And I'm really looking forward to that naked pic too....better deliver Wes
You upload a nude of her installing MJ12 and Vapor,NJKID,Frisch and I will all nominate you for XIP!Originally Posted by WesM63

To Vapor: I'm having same problem. I'm sometimes 75 barrels behind in upload. Only way I can seem to fix that is to stop downing for a half hour and manually press the node to upload. Don't think it hase to do with Alexc his work on the server or something. I have this problem all the time. Strange thing is, I only have this problem with one of my machines. The other one uploads fine it 90% of time. Really should be no difference, since both are on the same connection..
Regarding the nudity: yes please

There are a lot of tweaks you can make to the client. Some of them just take a while to figure out. Some of the delay ones (robot txt, url flush) can also depend on your computer. When I get around to it, I'll write a guide on how to tweak the MJ12 client. Also, TWB, if your computer is slow (i.e. slow P4 or slower) rar is better than LZMA. If your computer is a fast P4 (3ghz +) than LZMA is the right way to go, but the settings should be at least 8mb dictionary size and 64 word size. Also, another very important tweak: Upload chunk benchmark. One day, run this but set the size to 2mb instead of 1 and if you can, run it at 1 intervals instead of 4. It took a whole day for it to finish, but came out with 60kb being the best size to upload on my line. Also, don’t stop crawling during it since when your client is uploading, your client doesn’t stop crawling.
Hmmm...I got 3 rigs running flat out this am...This should upset commycast. One of my rigs must be running Dimes but I haven't found it yet...I seem to be completing way more per hour than I can upload? Should I turn downloads off for awhile?

The numbers @ the end of the day should be interesting
Crawling my but off over here.... can't go any faster, unless I hook up another machine or 2...
Unfortunatly I don't have a machine or 2 left, so we'll have to recrute!
And to add to our defeat (today that is) I have to shut MJ12 down to pull some DVD's off the net... so I'll be out for a couple of hours...
Overall speaking we are stomping the hell out of FDC
XSTM is overtaking PY222

guys, don't worry about a massive upload queue. the problem isn't with you or the client; alexc's download pipe just gets saturated now and again, especially with the recent production surges
(at least, that was the issue a few months ago when i was getting a full 200 buckets waiting to be uploaded)

Oh man....I've got another buttload of buckets to upload....bah.
Im trying to offload. Just noticed the stop crawling once buckets reach a certain point so I have spanked that up. Ive also turned down teh robots.txt and url to 10 and it seems to be a bit quicker.
Dave Dave Dave, i'm just keeping you guys distracted to eat up your bandwidth so the Machine and I can creap ever so slowly further and further ahead
