The deluxe features ICH8R and the PT the ICH8, so the deluxe has RAID and 6 S-ata ports while the PT only has 4 S-ata ports and no RAID.
When using the same bios overclocking shouldn't be different. The PCB is exactly the same

    My Rig:
    Intel Core 2 Duo E6400
    2x512mb Micron PC3200 OEM D9DQW "Fatbody"
    Biostar TForce P965 Deluxe
    MSI/Medion GeForce 6700XL (Cheap )
Chieftec 360W (in search for someting better)
    WD 160GB S-ATA

yeah they are the exact same board with the exception of what Dawan mentioned.
you can also flash the PT with the Deluxe bios

i had horrible luck with mine though but i have seen others have more luck with 6300 and 6400 cpu's.

    Question

Since this question was ignored in the other Biostar thread, does the non-deluxe version allow CPU multiplier adjustment? I wouldn't mind trying this board, and since the Deluxe is vaporware in the USA, I'd have to try the PT...
