    [Help] Which Motherboard

    Heya,

    I need some help with picking out a motherboard. I tried searching through the forums but I'm really bad at reading bench results.
    What I need is a good, stable motherboard that will be able to run 24/7 400FSB on air. Plus I want it to be SLI and Kentsfield compatible.
    It's worth mentioning that I'm not an extreme overclocker, all I want to do is run 1:1.
    This is the rest of my setup:

    Intel Conroe E6600
    Leadtek GeForce 8800GTX
    Seasonic S12-500 500W ATX 2.0
    CHIEFTEC BA-01B-B-B
    Sunbeam Tuniq Tower 120
    G.Skill DIMM Kit 2048MB PC2-6400U CL4-4-4-12 (DDR2-800) (F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ)

    Is threre a board out there that meets those requirements, or do i need to wait for an nFroce 680i based one?

    Thanks.

    I really would like to own one...I was looking forward to the Abit IN9..But now that someone from Abit confirmed that I wont
    come out before January...Well I'm pissed to be honest..And I just cant wait any longer, because I'm ordering various components
    from all over Europe and it took me ages to find the stores will the lowest S&H rates.

    I don't really like the eVGA board. I like the Asus Striker, but that one costs almoast 400$ here.

    Are there any other 680i based boards out?

    why don't u like the evga

    and i am sure in a week more and more 680i mobos will appear so for ur goal to setup a powerful machine waiting 1 or 2 weeks is not a problem IMHO

    How about the Intel BOXD975XBX2 ? XBX2 or XBX are good motherboard that are guaranteed to support kentsfield, and since all are essentially rev 304's now, they're all conroe compatible, etc... and you save a couple of bucks compared to buying the eVGA or Asus boards.

    I have no idea what to pick, that's why I'm asking you guys. I found quite a few good words about AW9D-MAX.

    As I can see, it is Quad-Core ready, and supports SLI. But will I be able to do 400 FSB?

    Well for now the 680i has f***ed sound (onboard or card) when using SLI. Thats a big point to consider

    * Asus P6T Deluxe & Intel Core i7 920 @ 4.2 + HT, stable @ 1.3875v & 6GB OCZ PC3-12800 Triple Channel Low Voltage & 1X Hitachi Deskstar 1TB
    * DELL 30"WFP3007-HC & 2x 4850 CrossFire & X-Fi Fatal1ty Pro & Sennheiser HD595
    * SilverStone Zeus 750W

    my liquid setup:
    *cpu EK Supreme Acrylic *rad TFC Xchanger 480QUAD *pump DDC-2 + XPSC reservoir top
    *tubing Tygon B-44-4X 1/2"ID - 3/4"OD + all Feser compression fittings

    I have no intention to run SLI for at least a year. I'd just like to have to option of upgrading my computer with an another GTX when the time comes.

    I'm really frustrated...Everything is waiting on the mobo and I can't decide...Wait on a chaper ASUS board or buy smthn that isnt 680i based right now.

    Does anyone know of any stores in the US that have the Asus Striker and ship items out side the US (with fairly resonable S&H fees)? Slovenia in particular.

    Or maybe I'll ask some reputable member here to perhaps purchase it with the money I'd send him and then ship it to me.

    I just can't wait till mid-December...

    Okay, one more question...Does it even matter which MB I choose if I don't plan on overclocking a whole lot?

    I just want it to do 400 FSB so I can do 1:1. Cause I'm leaning towards the AW9D-MAX.

    depend if u can handle the temperature on air for 400FSB using e6600.

    with my CPU (e6600 serial A) using 1.5v, maximum voltage i can handle on air using zelman 7700, i can reach stable 370FSB on p5wdh, 380 on p5w64, 350 on p5n32 premium.

    I'm searching a good motherboard too

    perhaps i'll go for asus striker extreme....
