Is there any way to force MJ12 to do _more_?

It's not even coming close to taxing my bandwidth.....maybe it's a VM issue?

Have you tweaked any of the clients settings yet? If yes then you may have to run more than one client to get the max out of it especially if it's that line you posted an SS of .

Also what kind of success % are you guys getting with the new client? I used to be able to run 130 workers and 50 buckets and get about 60% success with 1.3.0 now with the new beta i get about 30%

UPDATE: It's now getting; 9% sucess, 82% timed out, but it has also crawled a total of 30K in 12 mins, my lines only 2mbit .

I spent a little time browsing the forums over at MJ12 and apparently MJ12 and Boinc sometimes have trouble working together. I installed the 1.3.5 beta and it was responding the same way as 1.3.0 until I turned off boinc for a few minutes, then computer started to chew through URLs, pulling in nearly ~1200 urls every minute. I then changed the priority of MJ12 to be above normal on all attributes, restarted boinc, and the system is happily crunching away. I've also got a 93.5% success rate after 25 minutes into a crawl, if anything changes I'll update. Yay beta + priority tweaks!

Ah you were runnning a BOINC project next to it.
I've got these 2 machines dedicated to MJ12, would produce far less if I ran a BOINC project next to it.

MJ12 used to use 0% CPU usage with boinc and previous settings, now it is up to about 1-2% on a 2.8GHz E6400. I won't be hitting movieman speeds but it's still doing a good job crunching through the URLs, much better than before. Now it is time to do some school work, can't tweak crunchers for money

Yeah, fully tweaked....can't sustain more than 10mbps, but only averaging 7ish mbps....I can go download or browse with no slowdown at all....won't use more than ~20 buckets and ~140 workers. The system is dedicated to MJ12 as welll....nothing else running. I get 50% better results running native than I do on a VM. Running 2VMs gets worse results than running 1....but I have a feeling that's a system limitation (Kernel was using a core to itself somehow....with no apps running, maybe OSX was bugging out with a new MySQL install, who knows).

When I left this morning (after just upgrading to 1.35b3 and going native XP), I had something like a 65% success rate and did ~105k in its first 33 minutes of being active.

I have changed back to .NET library crawling...

I'll let it run for a day to see what difference it makes...

Yesterday and today around 5.5 mil. urls... (MJ12 stats)

Let's see what tomorrow will bring...

Yeah....IDK how I ended up on XSTM, I put in all the info for XSCM

Still sorting out the issues with the node limit (seems 8mbps is about all it can average....), should be able to get a second machine up to allow more bandwidth usage sometime soonish....

Also working around the starvation mode problems....ugh. Also working around the fact that I can't get it to run on OSX without production killing VMs and XP isn't even good at sucking a nut and is a pain to use.

I also have problems with the fact that my school really really hates people using routers, killing bandwidth to anybody that does, so no wireless or desktop internet for now.
