    Coolaler and Guess2098...pls be careful in describing the "av stars" ... I just googled it and it seems AV stands for "Adult Video" ... which may not be suitable for everyone.

    I'm thinkin' a GTS might just be suitable for me. Hmmmm....

    They seem to OC very nicely.

    How big is the IHS? Trying to see if current waterblocks would be able to cool that core despite the larger IHS size.

    Nice cards... I agree... the GTS will be a better buy considering its power requirements. I think a good 600watt PSU can run them SLI ( as in PC P&C or Silverstone).

    hmmm good question but i think my harddrives will kick it.
    currently there are 6 harddrives in my opty165 system the card is bit too long to fit in.
    also a warning for some1 want to buy 8800GTX make sure you got room for it

    well he could always run the benches with his conroe at 2.4ghz. that would resemble the speed of a 3ghz athlon.

    If we get major CPU limits off these new cards it might be a good idea for me to just get a GTS level card until Yonah. Although I can just use it for running games. I'm sure I can find settings at 1920x1200 that can make use of it

    For benchies yes, for games not yet really. Although if you play high res and full AA/AF and getting less than 40fps then you can upgrade as well

    I was looking at tbreak benchmarks...the results was not bad at all...but in FEAR 8800GTS lost in all resolutions for X1950XTX
