Im using an opteron 165 with a TTBT and AS5, overclocked to 2.7Ghz at 1.35V. I removed my IHS off my cpu and temps dropped 6-7C, so it's looking good. But I've noticed one perculiarity, my full load temps are ~48/48C, but I if do seperate core tests I get strange results. Fully loading core 0 gets me 42/38C, but then if I switch over to Core 1 I get 46/47C, huge increase. These tests were done using prime95 on one core at a time.
Normal? Bug? bad contact? Any help? Maybe I need to burn in just my second core for a day or so?
