It (see below edit : my misunderstanding) is my understanding that if the Mclaren F1 is built for a US customer, it is built to meet emissions here too and is considered USA street legal in most, if not all states.
EDIT: Oops, I was actually thinking of the Saleen 7 in what I said above. I'm actually not sure, but the McLaren is probably NOT street legal in the USA as Saleen claims to have the fastest USA street-legal car in the world.
So unless Saleen is mis-advertizing, the F1's probably won't be seen on a highway near you....It would beat you to death while driving it anyway. It's built for slick racetrack handling, not potholes. Not a daily driver by ANY stretch of the imagination.
Ever drive a Testerossa? Similar in the fact that it's a 200Mph racer with bumpers slapped on. Suspension is TIGHT! It will beat you plumb to death, even in neighborhood driving.

zippyc, i have been in the passenger seat of a F1. It's not as bad as you think, you have to remember that the testarossa is crap-car in comparison.

I'm envious that you rode in one, lol. But, still its not really a good daily driver is it? How much would each mile cost you if it drops to half it's value after 90K Mi? Whats the retail on an F1? I read it was $900K. If it lost half that value in 90K mi, thats $5.00 (us) a mile.

And doesnt it have a center, higher drivers seat, and a passanger seat slightly lower on each side?

The 2 passenger seats are sligthy lower ye and to the back.
The car comes with a full toolbox (i mean the one u cant lift and driver aroundwith the best tools in the world) also included is a custom set of luxury lugage cases which are designed specially for the storage compartments in the car. It was build as a car which you could drive at any time. My guess is that it aint that uncomferteble....
But wtf are we talking about? Its about super performance cars, i dont care about how the ride is :p I aint gona look for the value etc cuz i really dont care :p When u can afford this car, your other cars will do the things u dont wana do in a F1...

Zippyc, they GAIN value. They are from the early 90s btw.
Right on about the seats, a tight squeeze for sure. Didn't want to be wiseass about the seats lol.
It is a very good daily daily driver. I have just rode in it for a few days (germany and back) but it was good. A bit on the loud side but the chain in the back just sings.

those 1000nm really let it ripit drives 150/160kph @ 2000rpm
Top speed he drove was 270... and it can probably get near 300

nice car but going one further id have to say my dream 'vehicle' would be either that bugatti, mclaren F1, the SVS rocket sled http://www.svspower.com/images/upload/video_48_0.wmv (video) its only running 1100bhp there but its final production is 1700bhp
but i think my overal favourite would be a Hyabusa turbo'd which you can now get running at 450bhp now i know a 250bhp would do 90 - 180mph in 3 seconds so god knows what a 450bhp one would do
