    yes, just increase the voltage
    and also, 5k 3dm06???

I wished I could understand this post ? Does this work for the X1950 Pro?

you need some kind of hex-editor like winhex or hiew to do this.
ok. i do it myself. now you just need to:
    1. install atitool v0.26
    2. close application if it running.
    3. overwrite original atitool.exe by this one.

    good luck

Thank you for helping me...I followed your instructions EXACTLY. For some reason whenever I attempt to increase either core or memory it causes my PC to freeze. I have to reboot. Perhaps my x1950 Pro Sapphires are too particular ?
When I view the log...it says VT1103 chip detection:failed (0x0) whatever that means...
I've tried with CCC on & off...no difference. This is so frustrating...

ouch. look in atitool's settings about overclocking. there is "overclocking" and "x1000" tabs with some settings. you can try lock/unlock "reference divider" and turn off some options about "using video card bios for overclocking and helping with timing set". note that you must turn off "ati hotkey poller" in system services because it is prevents other tools to change frequencies propertly. so you can control gpu/mem frequencies by your old way. i suppose try only memory timings for this moment. but you must understand what exactly you're doing. easy way is to copy them from other bioses with slower or faster ram frequency. another one is to set -/-1 each timing manualy.

You must have been born a genious to understand that stuff.
I first used CCC to OC to it's max...Then I closed it and turned off ATI hotkey poller like you said. Then I set the slider to immediate. Voila...

    It worked Great

@gAf: thanks man! I couldn't believe, that my scores dropped while raising the memory speed. At 790mhz I got lower scores than at default memory speed (695mhz). So I tried your hack/patched file and compared the original timings with the ones at 790mhz. Indeed, the timings at 790 were much higher! By lowering them the benchmark scores raised as they should

    Thank you!

DAK1640, romeon i am really glad to help don't forget that memory timings is very useful when higher frequency could not be reached. performance may grow up to 5-10% with setting only one or two correct timings.

wish to thanx Unwinder, W1zzard and Ray Adams for their tools.

So does this work for both cards in Crossfire?

Pyr0 not yet. VGPU is only available.
nicepun DEVID is same so it does not matter. of course if ATITool can manage both accelerators at same time

    thanks for the link gAf
but with the slightly different arrangement of components (my cards run on less voltage), i'm a little unsure of how to go about modding the vgpu (without soldering) and what levels would be achievable

i suppose i could start putting dabs of conductive ink on there and hope for the best, but i originally hoped someone might have an idea of what combinations would work for my cards

i'm a little annoyed that these cards are so undervolted and just hoped to be able to get them up to the same levels as other cards

    Pyr0

You could check how much resistance there is. Mine reads 1.67-1.68kOhms. All of them reads the same, after I soldered the lowest one closed.

Before it was about 2 kOhms.

Well, in the posts above (where I posted my 3dmarks points) you can check the 3dmark 05 one. It has the ATI Tray Tools window opened.

now I got stable 655/749, tested 6 hours with the Assassin
mem timings that worked @ default mem clocks, were too tight for this clock.

Edit: 661/749 stable. not tested FEAR yet though.

no I assume. Haven't tested. We should consult W1zzard about this. We need a new beta.

Yes, but you need to manually set each bus dev separately. Evidently one of my cards OC's alot, the other is marginal...(Bus4, Dev0 & Bus 5, Dev:0) Memory adjustments are most touchy...

No improvements here. Just locks up still no matter what. I disabled hot key poller and patched the .exe

lock ref. divider is unusable. there is no way to change the option for me.

Core @ 675Mhz... testing all night stability looping the Assassin demo. Can't get the 3DMarks run because it loses focus and says Directx device lost. Annoying. I have all kinds off softs background, so maybe killing em all helps?

Edit: Here's the wall at current voltage (1.266V)
    675/749 crashed , dropping to 668/749

    Edit2: 661/749 The Assassin stable.

trans am; 1st, I am using Cat 6.11...Also; I have "apply clock immediately after moving slider", I also have it upping in 7Mhz increments.
I have re-enabled 'hot key poller', I run CCC and OC it there 1st (it moves my memory without lockups). Then I close CCC and open ATI tool and OC the core.
    Hope that helps...
