I read this before i buy the RAM, in one of PDF's on Corsair site... They says, the warranity are valid if you put even 2,7v. on them... This is valid only for Dominator series...
Sorry if i made a mistake, but i think i read exactly 2,7v.

Hi great forum i just joined, thanks for the review this ram looks awsome,i am thinking about buying some of of this ram but is it true that this ram isn't very good with the 975X chipset,it looks like its very good with the 965 chipset but i read somewhere that it doesn't work very well with the 975X chipset.
The motherboard i will be using is the Asus P5W64 WS Pro,has anyone tryed the Dominator PC8888 with the Asus P5W64 WS Pro motherboard,i don't want to waist money if it won't be compatible, hopfully it will be because it looks like great ram.

does anyone know if this ram would work very well with my Asus P5W64 WS Pro motherboard or would i be better to go with a better brand,i am really hoping to get some advice before i spend $1000 on this ram.
I think you will be fine using "this" memory in conjunction with the P5W64 WS Pro. This memory is very similar to 6400C3 memory Corsair recently discontinued. The only apparent difference is the heatspreader as I do believe the IC's are the same. Having said that, many are currently using the 6400C3’s with awesome results.
I don’t think you will be disappointed with this ram.
[offtopic] If you haven't purchased the mobo as of yet you may want to wait a week to see how nvidia's 680i chipset fairs in the marketplace. If the rumors are true it appears to be as good if not better than Intel's 975 chipset. [/offtopic]

good work BA
these mothers should do great with 2.8-2.9v
Thanks a lot ShoNuff i am glad the ram will work ok,yeah it is to late for the motherboard because i purchased it the other day,i have every part for my new system except the ram which is a really hard choice, one other thing i am wondering about is for the same price of 2 gigs of the $1000 Dominator PC8888 i can get 4 gigs of the G.Skill HZ PC6400,would it be better to have 2 gigs of really fast ram like the Dominator PC8888 or 4 gigs of the 800fsb G.Skill HZ PC6400 slower ram,the ram would be for the X6800 core2duo.Originally Posted by ShoNuff
Sorry for all the questions, its just that i am down to deciding on the last piece of the system before i build it.

680i might be the chipset to use to set memory bandwidth records in the near future.Originally Posted by Revv23

Just curious how high 3-3-3 goes at 1T.

Nice review, as always Bachus.
Not to throw water on the party, but may I assume that availability of this RAM will be typical for all of the breathlessly paper-launched low-latency RAM, i.e., good luck getting it if you aren't a reviewer or Coolaler or Kingpin? Corsair already can't supply resellers with its other low latency models (boo-hoo, our suppliers can't get us the chips), and they are launching yet another low-latency line? Oh yeah, I'm sure Newegg will have 2000 pairs in stock this week. And everyone here is applauding like it's a real launch?
Please put down the Kool-Aid and step away from the pitcher.
NOTE TO RAM COMPANIES: STOP WITH THE BOGUS PRESS RELEASE "WE HAVE THE FASTEST RAM" PAPER LAUNCH BS UNTIL YOU HAVE ENOUGH CHIPS TO MASS MARKET. YOU ARE REDEFINING "VAPORWARE."
I now return you to your regularly-scheduled Corsair love fest.

Actually, this ram seems widely available. I'm waiting for the 3-4-3-9 parts myself, anyway, and my own 8888 sticks have already arrived. I did wait a long time for them, but it does not seem to be an issue anymore.
As soon as I have a MOBO worthy of the memory, I'll be testing that as I am interested in LL as much as pure speed. Currently, all I have is a P5ND2 SLI. I should have an AM2 board this week or perhaps next. And, I hope to get a 680i MOBO soon.Originally Posted by OPPAINTER

Every place I have seen shows "out of stock." Give it a few weeks. If they are widely available, I will modify my criticism. We'll see though...Originally Posted by cadaveca

I feel yer pain. Regardless of the reason (supply of ICs, alien IC thefts, etc) it is frustrating. However, I believe that we have some changes in effect that are going to minimize our supply and demand issues. Also, I found varieties if the Dominator, C4 included, available at 2 vendors so it is out there.Originally Posted by uclajd

Holy Moly! That's still $776 US. I really believe in our products but, I can't say that I blame you on that purchase. Hopefully IC screening will become easier and IC speed will improve and the price will go down.

I can buy today 50+ sets pc6400C4D and a couple each of the 8500C5D and 8888C4DF. Sounds good to me.
Nice work, a very solid review.
It's unfortunate it's so expensive, but most are willing to pay a premium for top-of-the-line components.

yeah i recon its really expensive stuff,i sought i wish i still got the 1066+fsb for my x6800 cpu but hopefully the 800fsb G.Skill F2-6400HZ ram will still be just as good,i am still not sure what actual gains you get out of going from 800fsb to 1066fsb.Originally Posted by specmike
I just wanted to say thanks again and I'm glad you found this little OCing Report useful. I have not done a lot since my last update, although I have a screenshot somewhere of dual32M at DDR2-1224 8-4-4-4.0 @ 2.60v and DDR2-944 8-3-3-3.0 @ 2.60v. I've had some very limited free time these last few days and also took my setup off phase change - I don't even know why now It's going back to normal now and I will get something more done with 2.7v and fill up that 2nd post as soon as I can.
Actually, I did few very quick 32M runs @ 2.51v, way at the beginning but did not pursue it any further at all - DDR2-620 8-2-2-3.0 and DDR2-860 8-2-3-3.0.Originally Posted by [cTx]PhilosophyAs far as I have seen in their .PDF, it was 2.4v + 5%, which would be 2.51v.Originally Posted by Kartoff
