Best 2x1GB DDR500 for DFI Expert?

I've got a great set of Ballistix but they suck on the Expert (did 280 @ 2.7 3-3-3-8 on my SLI-DR). What should I replace them with? What's Expert's favorite memory for easy install and oc'ing?

    thanks!

    I'd recommend Mushkin XP4000 Redline (2x1GB). Here's the link: http://www.mushkin.com/doc/products/...ail.asp?id=273

I'd suggest you take a look on the new Ballistix PC4000. They seem to be reliable, good oveclock potential, easy to setup and are below $200 at Newegg.

Check for setup and some results here:

The choices are Samsung UCCC, Infineon BE-5/CE-5 and Micron chips.

Since the Microns had a long phase of dying on overclocks (or even without), amoung other things two months worth of ballistix production seems to have died, and since the Infineon stuff has that wired 3D problem where they are not 3D stable even when memtest and superpi and mprime are happy, I recommend UCCC.

5B D had that problem for a while. crucial is using 5B F now. i've yet to see a dead stick of it.
Got a fan over those memory sticks? No? Well get to it before you kill them

Yes, these are most likely UCCC.

Also most likely UCCC are the black Mushkin PC4000 2x1 GB and the G.Skill HZ 2x1 GB.

"Most likely" in all cases since vendors do play.

To be sure to get UCCC you'd have to by Teamgroup.

Post a photo of the side of the module so that the side of the ICs is visible. Samsung has easy to recognize two silver lane endings visible.
