    ? SM Bus Controller XP Home

    Device Manager Windows XP Home ver.

    shows: ? sm bus controller (in yellow)

    System:

    asus p5b deluxe bios 711
    conroe e6600@3.2ghz 400x8 1.35v (bios 1.4)
    2gb pc2-8000 ocz plat xtc 5-5-5-15 (4:5 ddr667) 1000mhz (2.15v)
    6x wd caviar 320gb sataII: 2x raid0, 2x raido, 2x raid1
    2x bfg 7950gt Sli mode, Big Sam 85.96 modded drivers
    1x lg dvd-rw h10L
    1x auzen-tech X-plosion 7.1 sound card

    downloading files cannot open branch to place file in different folder, system wants to freeze and can only download to my documents folder.

    anyone else experience this problem?

    Have you installed the Chipset Driver? - or you could try this link.

    Thanks, no more yellow question mark. Downloaded update utility and it seemed to work.
