    [Denny]XFX7900GS review,

i should post those like about a month ago but i never had chance to post it...
i did some quick test like test with E6600 @ 3G but thats it.
here is better review for 193$ (i bought from mwave)

i really love those black pcb! looks great...

    Hardware setup
    Intel C2D X6800 @ 3.9G 434*9
    Asus P5WDG2 WS PRO 改
    GSKILL DDR2 800 CL3 2GBGA
    XFX 7900GS SLi
    PC Power & Cooling 1000W
    TQ120

7900GS is running on Stock speed

    3dmark2001 score 57972

    3dmark03 score 32662

    3dmark05 score 14169

    3dmark06 score 7827

    Overclock to 630 / 850

    3dmark2001 score 65059

    3dmark03 score 41998

    3dmark05 score 18978

although GTO is like ~250$ but 7900GS only ~193
but while the profromance is very close to each other.
also the 1.4ns 1.9v hynix does better overclock than 1.1ns 1.9v samsung....
~60$ maybe doesn't mean a lot to some ppl, but who know hehehehe

There is a pencil mod for th VGPU?

And awesome clocks for budget cards. For cheaper than an X1950XT you're getting way better performance with less heat.

very nice clocks. These are great bang/buck cards if you get ones that don't die/artifact.

As far as mods, the same 7900GT mods can be applied. Conductive Pen makes an easy vcore mod

    Hello,
What kind of mod did you do?
Can you tell me how the 7900gs vMod works?
    I don't understand it =(
    Where did you draw?
What Watercooler fits with the 7900gs?
Could you test single 7900gs with conroe @ 2000 or 2400?
    Thanks!

    Best Regards
    Dennis

have you tried upping volts via biosmod? what was stock volts for your card?

im finding raising volts via biosmod results in lower OC even with temps under 40c load.

is yours the 480m or 450m?

the stock voltage is 1.2v, it is set on bios. change volt in bios will not help

    Very nice results guess2098.

About match my results with 7900GT SLI (vmodded 1.5V), but with 4 pipes less : impressive !!

I also did a review by the way of this card for Madshrimps, but wasn't allowed to vmod it at the time
