    Can someone help my friend out with these G.SKills

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231018 has this ram and a 6600 on an abit ab9 pro, he cant seem to get these above 3ghz, and I said ill try and find out some info for his ram form you guys here, Im total newbie to Intel stuff, so I cant really help him that much..

    Just a unique suggestion, change your Ram Multi and see if dropping your ram speed by a large amount will let your system boot to such a highier clock speed.

    Drop the Ram divider like nn_step said. We have clues too...



    That is no Micron D9... meaning it wont clock very well.

    its DDR2 533, dont expect miracles... Id say you will be limited by your ram pretty quick on this setup..

    im pretty stable at 3.06 ghz. but past that i cant boot into windows. i dont dare play with ram settings.

    i will try those when i get home. the memory hasn't been cooperating. a lot of no booting as soon as i touch anything. I'll try what the tech says though.

    post some results when you have em AA, I def wanna see this rig faster than my elcheapo rig..

    the new bios philosophy also found for me on this site worked out pretty well once i got them to flash right.
