I know...
which is why you almost never saw me run 32M on any of my old PC's.
3dmark I can stand, cause atleast with that, I get something to watch.
with 32M back then it was like torture to be asked to run it...
now I dont mind...
when I can run over 3.5 ghz with my CPU.
then it just takes 10-15 minutes.
but at 2.1 ghz (7 x 300) I feel like I am gonna slip into a coma waiting for it to finish.
I just want to finish, so I can get back to my game
I know what you mean hehe.
Most of my 32m runs are mp3 playing and websurfing stable as well :P
Seems like 765 boards are the ones to get for high memory speeds.
Now the question is: Is it faster to run high mem speed with a divider or just run 1:1?
From the tesing I did with my P5W, running 1:1 seems to be faster than any dividers, even if its 380Mhz vs 5xx.
If its slower, there would be no reason running dividers on Intel platforms.
But it looks damn nice

usually running 2:3 or 4:5 is faster than 1:1, but it depends on what speeds your running...
450 3-3-3 still wont beat 550+ 4-4-4, timings do not mean as much as bandwith
I'd bet that due to the cleaner power with your DDR maximiser you'd be able to push the volts that bit further without letting out the precious smoke in the sticks, less spiking prolly. It'd still sell if that means more mhz. It's way prettier than i thought it was going to be too. I'd bet, as well, it would get rid of my needs to reset every time i boot with my redline 2x512.Originally Posted by hipro5

this topic is just as much about the Hipro Maximizer as the OC itself, cause without the Maximizer, this would have been alot harder to do.
being able to visually "see" the voltages, that one thing alone, made it possible. just simply being able to see the voltages, and seeing no spikes happen, that alone gave me the confidence to try for more.
I would say I am a extremely cautious overclocker...
being able to see the voltages, I guess lets me calm down enough to pass up my own caution and go for alittle more.
How about 3.6V for a 100% overvolt?

so the mushkin xp2 pc2-6400 has micron chips?
i keep hearing conflicting answers.
I was chatting with Tom from mushkin, first he tells me they are micron, and now hes telling me they are elpida chips on another forum
theres little to no chance these are Elpida.
Elpida, would have blown up from this kinda voltage, long before I got anywhere near these volts.
I am right with you Kunaak, any other ratio besdies 1:1 on P5b deluxe just acts wierd for me, and i just became a 32m bencher, as its not fun when it takes 20 minutes, like you say.
Kunaak
did you have to mod your P5B???
im getting the mobo tomorrow and the maximizer on wednesday, so i would like to know.
nice results btw
cheers

yes i know this thread is about the 6400 but the 8000 and 6400 uses the same chip exact that the 8000 is heavily binned. We got chips in and are still binning to get both parts back to the market.
