nice job! i was thinking about a similar mod. where did you get that duct?

i was thinking aboug picking up a black PC60 and using "ports" they use on subwoofer boxes, but they're so expensive.

I got the duct for $1.99 at a hardware store. If you can't find one I have another one I could send you for my cost + shipping.

Thanks a lot. Yes I am very pleased with it. It was fun to do a bunch of research to figure out how to make my system quiet. And I like cutting and building things. It's nice not having background fan noise while watching DVD's and such.
The best part was my shock at how well it actually worked.

So, whats the point? I get those temps w/o all that stuff and my PC is still quiet.

You may get those temp,s but according to your stats you are running a 2000 at stock speeds. He is running a 2100 overclocked to 2300MHz and still getting nice temps! Well done indeed.

That's where you see the point

Sounds like you are all set then.

I wanted a quieter system. When I tried quieter fans my temps were too high to maintain stability. So I did some mods which lowered my temps enough to use quiet fans.

Very nice mod! Gave me some nice ideas, but unfortunately the case I would want to do them to has some limitations that would make it more difficult to do.
