Measure it at any of the four coils around the CPU socket.

yeah, press it more... you'll be definately be the first to find the single core hard mod for c2d

(actually after squeezing way too much the board to extreme ancles one core was disappearing ... untill he loose the screws) :p
if this is your first night in xtremesystems,
    you have to overclock.

Here are some pics of mine. I used grabbers for the ic's. They are reshaped somewhat to be a little smaller and more secure. Soldering on the ic's I found was not so easy. This seemed to be a safe alternative. vfsb_vmch vfsb read grab vfsb_vmch pots vcore_vdimm Those are really the only pics I have atm. Camera not so great on close ups.

The coils are the four black cubes with a thick copper cable in them. They are placed around the socket.

I measure it at the back of the board, at the CPU side of one of the coils.

It's also possible to measure at one side of the small capacitors inside of the coils here. (Just try... one side is ground, the other is vcore)

i've tried all 4 coils and i can't get the vcore to be measured.

coop told me to use the small resistors(?) between the top two coils as a measuring spot and it works for me! the side closes to the cpu socket works.
