    E6300 Retail Box Max Overclock

What is the common max overclock for the Core2 Duo E6300 chip?

I'm talking stock cooling, straight out of the box?

    Thanks.

Nice clock, I saw that thread

I'm testing a 6300 at work with an Asus P5W DH.
The 6300 seems to want to do more but it is stuck on stupid around 430x7 1:1. I get memory problems going past 430. Is the Asus just the problem? Looks like Dumos Gigabyte does 500 fsb with ease.

Would you recommend the board? What don't you like about it?

If I go over to Frys and pick up the S3, what are the chances I will get the C2 chipset? If it's another chipset, will the board suck?

    My e6300 with watercooling on ds3 c1.

With stock boxed cooler did 3.5 1.35v but temps were to high to my liking
Might need some off your experienced people to help me max it out when I get phase

Edit: small difrence in mhz due to ram crapping out quicker then cpu.

    @dumo I had an S3 0636 and with the F5 bios i can't pass 440 fsb....i can boot at 440...but no go after..
When Mercedes brought their C111 to Talledega years ago and blew away the closed course record did it count? Yes..
That was a "factory" car and a "one of" that no one could buy and was never sold.
Records are records and that is a fact so get over it.

The Vcore and the Vdimm , depends to your stuff..!

Try PCI-F over 115 to achieve bigger FSB!

@itznfb your mobo has the c2?

I have similar stuff to Bulldog: P5B deluxe wifi, 2x1gb Crucial Baliistix PC6400, Scythe Infinity + fan, e6300, etc.

that's Why I asked, to compare my last settings (before the board went bad) to his and see where the differences lie.
