New Ballistix Z503? Are these different chips?

Recently I bought another pair of Ballistix 2x1GB PC4000 from Newegg.

I found out that their behaviour is very different from classic Ballistix Z503...

Voltage scalates very well and I could do 285MHz 3-4-4-10-1T at 2.95V it does run Memtest86+ for long hours no errors but fails in a second running SuperPI so I had do reduce speed.

For my Opteron sweet point I got 270MHz rock stable at 3-3-3-8-1T at 2.85V.

Not as good as the old ones but perhaps may get a longer life...

does the little white sticker have .16TF1Y on the end?
Got a fan over those memory sticks? No? Well get to it before you kill them

Yes indeed. And thanks for indicating me that other thread. I was also guessing these ICs should be 5B-F.

    you are quite correct

still trying to figure out what the "Y" on the end means. what PCB is it, the crucial proprietary one, or BP808?

Using multi x10 improved quite well memory latency even at a slower speed... (edited: along with some other timing changes)

    Yes! I did some homework...

The screenshot shows my last settings but I got better latency just by changing the multi to x10 without any other changes.

BTW Ozzi what is that in your avatar? I can think in a flower or a mosquito but can't figure it out...

    I have a pair z503, labelled with 16td1.

Now I use it @ddr-550, I will post my settings from home!

May I ask U to post here Your settings dram drive strength and data strength that You set it in bios?

Because 64info doesn't show it properly, only weak or normal.

    Thx,

    dbius

Good to see that they are at least shipping working modules again.

Call me sick, but I'd really like to have 4 GB of tracers. Somebody I just think that'd be cool.

    Here they are:

    DDS 6
    DS 2

This was checked to this memory limited and are not quite different from my old Ballistix 5B-D.

    Thx man!

    My settings in bios are:

    Dram drive strength: 1
    Dram data drive strength: 4

I'll check my kit with Your settings and will post result here!
