This is under custom single stage.I think I can do better than this when I'll have some time.

    Hello

Still have pb with mine. No stability issue, but sometimes the BIOS is REALLY SLOW. Do you encounter that? I'm using 0402.

    See you,

    Thomas

I did encounter that with the 0402 bios, but the 0505 fixed that, also the voltage problem is my main issue with this board, beisdes that its far moer stable than my eVGA 680i.

Memory compatibility with 0505 is improved a great deal. Also, a little trick for high FSB rates (525 up) is to use a single 1GB DIMM in the third memory slot. It kicked me from 522 up to 550 but even after tweaking the timings to no end, performance was still about 3~5% worse than two 512MB in dual channel.

Im sure i can do better but its a start

Im sure it can do better but i had a bank of dimms out and had to RMA the board. ETA for new board this week.
Also I could have run Orthos for a lot longer but I was impatient and was just testing for nominal stability. On all tests I stopped Orthos...

Sorry Im at work but the timings on these were all auto...I wasnt testing my ram yet. I know my ram can do anything I throw at it so i was more concerned with CPU stability.
Components tested: Team Xtreem 6400, e6700 (ES), Striker Extreme Bios 0402, (Jinu117) Modded Mach II

thanks for the info .. my Asus contact gave me 505 beta bios, but what's this I hear about a 508 bios ???

Weird thing now is after installing winxp pro sp2 32bit, I normally use Acronis Trueimage to make a image of my OS partition, but the Trueimage cd or USB drive won't boot when I set CD-rom as first boot device ... it just boots into windows even if I have the bootable cd or USB drive in ?

    302 bios for now

    @3600Mhz - 9x400FSB at 1.39v

On Asus 680i Striker Extreme it seems 3600Mhz handles fine at 1.39v vcore under load so far. I used 2x512MB OCZ PC5400 Platinum XTC 3-3-3-12 memory for the tests.

Prime95 v25.1 multi-threaded dual small FFTs priming for ~1hr 18mins before I stopped it. Interesting that even coretemp reported cpu temps fluctuated alot more jumping between 59C to 68C while priming.

    Post Prime idle temps:

Asus PC Probe2 reported voltages vs Digitech QM1538 Digital Multimeter measurements while under load @2400mhz at 1.3875v bios set (1.28v vcore idle / 1.26v vcore load).

    +3.3v rail = 3.26v vs 3.387v real
    +5v rail = 4.78-4.89v vs 5.02v real
    +12v rail = 11.78v vs 12.23v real

I new it was off but wasnt sure how far off. Speedfan seems to reflect pretty close to accurate. Also 0402 reports closer to accurate than 0505 for some reason.

0505 screwed up my entire oc from 0402, it couldn't run my Tarantula KB driver now. And the voltages seems crazy, back to 0402. Anyone has any issues with 0505?

0505 actually gave me better memory OC...voltage is still an issue, the vdroop is annoying.

505 beta thats been circulating for sum time is identical to the official one.... same hashes...... 505 is a disaster for me... BSOD all over the place.. MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION and freezing all the time...... plus u cant have any voltage between 1.39-1.55 or sothing with 505....

    using 402 now

try lowering CPU VTT and raising NB volts.. ensure vcore is enough though as each cpu is different

I had best results with this board with the nb from 1.2 to 1.5v with the 0505 bios. I can't speak for 0701 bacause I never tried it..

I got a new cpu, a week 32 6600, runs 3.7ghz stable, anything over needs way too much voltage and runs wayy to hot, this chip is hot, idles at around 40-43c.....also put in 4 gigs of micron d9gmh, 2 pair by g.skill and 2 pair by patriot, runs awsome, now i need a 64bit OS to use more than 3.25gb's

I put my striker setup together a after the new year and have that sound crackling problem when using an X-fi. Same ol' - it only happens when I have SLI (2x eVGA 8800GTX) enabled.
I've tried the Rasite the multi to 5x per a suggestion I got in another thread - no dice. I've read something about adjusting the PCI Latency to 90, but I don't have the proggie to do that - and there is no BIOS option to do that.

Everything else points to BIOS: the eVGA and other Foxconn clones have their BIOS fix - so I guess we're just waiting on Asus to catch up.

With the vDroop, I can't seem to dial in the voltage that i need (1.525 acutal) to hit 3.6 with my Xeon 3060.
The jump in the BIOS readings are far to flaky.

I tried using the settings posted up above by EVA 2000 and they won't get my system up either - it hangs at POST - BIOS 0701.
I've also set the vCORE high enough to hopefully overcome vDroop - i've stepped it up after each failed boot.

SPP<->MCP Ref Clock are you guys using? i have mine at 250 i think its the reason why i got a random freeze.....orthos stable, both my cpu and ram.

Well - to make things more interesting.
My Striker only gives me the crackling sound when I play Battlefield 2142 with SLI enabled. No other game so far has done it.
Prey, Quake 4, Flight Simulator X, and Guild Wars have all been ran and sound was clean.
