Wow, and 965 had the Kentsfield advantage....

What were the single card scores for each system? I'm curious as to how much a 2nd card gains on 965.

    Thanks for the info too

EDIT: for college football fans that have a slow connection: 975 is to 965 like Michigan is to Notre Dame

    It is impossible 965 take any advantage on 8x + 4x = 12. 975 8x + 8x = 16.

    I wanted to see if was 965 = 16 x 975 = 16 lanes.

The results do not show anything new.

However is not bad 965 with kentsfield.

So if someone wants to use a dual graphics card set up like SLi or Crossfire they are going to be gimped compared to 975 with 965. Doesn't seem to impact the 7950 GX2 thankfully.

Or maybe I'm wrong but I believe the P965 has X16 + X4 configuration, compared to X8 + X8 of 975X. Either way, the second PEG is only X4 width electrically and it dramatically hinders graphics performance. On the other hand, the second PEG on 975X gives no less than 97~98% of the first PEG's performance.
I don't check my PMs very often.

If you plug the GX2 on the second PEG you will see the impact. (Although there is no reason to do so. ) Actually I used to put my previous GX2 in the second PEG on my P5W-DH. It helped lowering the temps.

this is why i didnt buy P5B DLX, if i only had 1 card i would get P5B DLX, cuz P5B DLX is prolyl the best board for overclocking, but i have 2 GeForce 7800GTX, so ... i chose 975

wait, so the CPU on P5B DLX was kentsfield Q6600???
