Amazing that two of those bands are Australian! and I've met and filmed them do live sets, my housemate does some of their photos for the albums, should be thanked in the liner notes, her name is stace.

I obviously like metal (see avatar of Angela Gossow ) Currently listening to:

Heaven Shall Burn (new album out)
    In Flames
    Dimmu Borgir
    Kamelot
    Arch Enemy
    As I Lay Dying
    Killswitch Engage
    The Black Dahlia Murder
    Dragonforce
    Sonata Arctica

On another note, how many of you have seen Metal: A Headbangers Journey? Without a doubt the best documentary I have ever seen! Some classic moments.

I grew up listening to alot of different types of music, everything from Classical to 90s "hip/hop, so I can not say I have a particular favorite. Metal on one hand, because most of my friends were into metal so I listened to it all.

AC/DC, Metallica, Megadeath, Ozzy/BLack Sabbath, Kiss, Iron Maidan, Slayer, Pantera, NIN, etc.

Then there is the glam metal/rock Warrant, White Lion, GNR, Skid ROw, Motely Crew.....damn its been along time, I don't remember half the groups.

I prefer Pink FLoyd, Doors, Led Zepplin, Hendrix, along the lines of the 60s and 70s.

I think one question shoudl be asked.

Who here used to watch Head Bangers Ball?

And Who here listens to Hous of Hair @ 10EST on Wmmr, or via streaming Audio on wmmr dot com?

For all you old school hair band lovers Dee Snyder Rocks the airwaves every Sunday 10pm EST to 12pm play lots of old school rock.

Funny you should mention them. They're from my town (Adelaide, South Australia) and I'm a friend of Michael Crafter, IKTPQ's singer from 2001 till this year. He's a bit of a though, haha.

Don't let my userbars confuse you, I'm not a scene-kid, I'm a metal fan through and through! 'just going through a -core phase right now.

As far as metal goes, I love everything from Burzum to Dragonforce. From Anorexia Nervosa to Wig Wam! I love melodic-death mainly these days, so you've got bands like Disarmonia Mundi, In Flames, Dark Tranquillity, Scar Symmetry, Raunchy, Children of Bodom (I consider them melo-death), Naildown, Amon Amarth, Norther, Soilwork and so forth.

I'm open to black metal, death metal, thrash metal and power metal. I love it all.

Yes there are some of us that know Nirvana is not metal, but when the hair bands were dying out, Nirvana was the next big thing because many could identify with it.

Be it that Grunge/Alternative were just that alternative to then "old" school metal or hiphop, not a lot of choice in my book.

Hell there was not much of a difference in style, well except for more flanel shirts :-P

and thats just what I've pulled off my 250gb backup drive after I just reformatted - I have atleast 80gb of just metal on that drive, and another 40-50gb of alternative, industrial, electronica, etc. (but I guarantee that you won't find any country, boy bands, or pop singers on that HD)

I will give almost anything a shot once.

I don't have a "library" cause most of my music was lost with the crash of a WD HDD I had. Not a fan of WD drives any more.

My gf has a 5 disc set that any of my friends that listen to this type of music were wowed by the set, because it was all euopean and they had never heard it. The set is discontinued.
