Oh hell, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, SO many good 80s Metal bands, as well as Pantera, Metallica, stuff like that. Recently discovered Dragonforce. CHECK THEM THE HELL OUT!!! They are AWESOME!!! Ive seen em live twice now, and both times have had my face rocked off.

Metal is only for the Xtreme minds!!

I like several bands (80's and 90's) but undoubtedly Black Sabbath (with Ozzy) owns them all .

ROFL When I first read the title, for some reason I comprehended it too literally and thought you were asking me if I was a "metal fan", as in a fan made of metal.

I guess I have fans on the brain.... or its time for bed!
This cosmic dance of bursting decadence and withheld permissions, twists all our arms collectively, but if sweetness can win, and it can, then I'll still be here tomorrow to high-five you yesterday, my friend. Peace.

Lately my music motto has been the more pissed off the better. However, I do like to listen to the lyrics, they tend to explain why they're pissed off. I have no idea what they're classified as but I've listend to the Lost and Found disc by Mudvayne since it came out. I bought it because I liked Dig and Not Falling from Ghost Ship the movie. Turns out it was a really good buy. After I found out I liked it I went and bought L.D. 50 and The End of All Things to Come. Another band that I have no idea what they are classified as would be TooL. While I don't agree with everything they sing about, religion, I do like most of their stuff. They are also extremely good in concert, it's hard to believe you aren't listening to the CD. Lately I've been more of an Alternative Rock guy. The best thing that's come out of Canada since maple syrup, Three Days Grace, isn't very far from my car's CD player.

To destroy any bass crap attack nothing works better than the Orgasmatron cover by Sepultura. Just pure metal annihilation.

Forgot to post my last.fm.. http://www.last.fm/user/m0p

Don't like the way Last.FM is going though, it's getting more and more bloated, and stuffed with Javascript seemingly every week. I preferred it when they were still using the oldskool Audioscrobbler site, no bloated community bs, none of this useless radio stuff

    Another metal fan here.
    Favorites:
Oldies like Iron Maiden, Metallica (pre-Load period), Manowar, Sepultura and King Diamond
    also
Dimmu Borgir (some songs), Theatre of Tragedy (before they went techno), Moonspell, Type O Negative, As I Lay Dying.

I'm pretty much sick and tired of listening the same groups. Please recommend some badass bands/albums.

Hell Yeah!!!! Best Comment in the thread so far..! what's even worse are those lawnmower sounding muffers on cars playing the bass crap next to me. frustrates the hell outta me. not to be negative but seriously we don't need people buying that bass crap and putting crappy mufflers on cars that should'nt have them, while driving by me with a smug face? I just don't get it? It makes me laugh , but is also makes me angry at the same time.

The solution is to destroy the wiggers. They are pioneers in annoyance.

    YES PLEASE!!!!

I'd love to get such a setup in my car... problem: it itsn't mine its my mom's (hey only 19) and we can't go to loud here in belgium or we'll be fined kind of heavely.

BUt Disturbed, sepultura, rammstein, Nine Inch Nailes, Hammerfall, Slipknot, Maiden, ...... you name it i normally have listened to it :p

Though i do listen to a lot of gothic metal/rock to,whatever you wanna name it.

Nightwish, within temptation, Sengir, Evanescence, Leaves eyes a bit, Ellis, ....

Oh and btw may i suggest:

Disturbed - Violence Fetish for the next time a Bass playing moron pulls up next to you with speakers booming? its not very loud overall but has some nice parts.

    Or for the old school'rs:
Slipknot with Pulse of the maggots

    That kind of stay's hard

    As a final resort:
Slayer - Killing Fields or Last of the mohicans from Soulfly
