    Some x1900xt air results- 38k 01

So for the past week or so Ive been learning about how to overclock this x1900xt here and I think Ive got some decent results.
My first goal was to break 37k but after a very lucky CL run, I broke 38k.

    Setup:
    Opty 165@305x9- Scythe Ninja
    DFI Ultra-D
    G Skill BH-5@250
    Connect3D x1900xt- Stock cooler

I had a hose going from the vent straight to the video card, it really helped with the clocks. 735/880 for DL, LL, 730/870 for CH, 735/870 for LH, DH, Nature, and 740/900 for CL.
This weekend I will do more benching cause my DL and LL scores are about 5FPS slower than what I was averaging before that run and also Im pretty sure I can get 735/880 stable enough for all tests.
    Hoping for 39k this weekend.

Couple of tips for single card

    LOD
Don't change card clocks around that much, only for Nature drop them to where it passes.
    Run CL last X 20

The best tip is to get Conroe

You will get at least 50K at stock GPU clocks and cpu at 3.3GHz+

I did use LOD, 5 for DL, LL, CH, LH, DH; 4 for Nature; and 3 for CL.
I need to do more testing on LL and LH.

This is what i got with 165 and X1800XT. Nature +3.5 at 750/850 gives 510. Yours is low for +4 with that card. Could be AI in cat cc.

Oh yea, I forgot about A.I.
Ill remember to mess around with that too.
It should be on low right?
How tweaked is your OS on that run because I tweaked mine a lot minus registry edits.

    EDIT
Your extra 10mhz of FSB wouldnt give that big of a boost would it?
My timings were tighter than that too.

Me gaming OS, not tweaked. I set AI at enabled & advanced. Mipmap etc at perf. Give it a go at nature.

And no +100 mhz on cpu would never make that much of a difference in nature, its the card.

Wow, I thought I was doing pretty good with over 38k, haha.
I must be missing something big here, I dont think LOD would make up that big of a difference.
What drivers are you guys using, I tested from 6.3 to 6.8 and settled on 6.5 as the best ones, you think that maybe it?
I will have to try and go for 40k now, at least.
This is going to be a fun weekend

Level of Detail, you can change it to lower your 3D appearance. It gives a big boost in 3D Mark points, but at the same makes the image look horrible. It really is only useful in 3D benching.
