first intel Built conroe , a little concerned..

ok guys, sorry for busting everyone.

i just built my conrnoe system

it is a e6600
asus p5w dh deluxe
2gig ram
7800gt bfg
and a gamestream ocz 600watt power supply,

i was using this same power supply on my amd machine. and the +12 line was always 12.21

now with this machine asus probe and bios report 12.57
i am a little concern that is a lil high.

also

sometimes on asus probe my temp will be 39 and then jump red to 256C

i dont get it

The 256 thing is just a bug that usually happens when CPU-z is running. Don't worry about it.

As far as the 12v rail, that is a little high, mine reads (off pc probe) as 12.09.

I believe that OCZ has adjustable voltage rails if you're have a multi go ahead and "set it" right.

Beside the fact that software voltage readings are mostly unreliable (you should use a multimeter), as long as the voltage is stable, 12.5 V isn't going to cause any problems.
