Does anybody know how cold this program can go ? will it do sub-zero ?

Doesn't seem to work with phase/ sub zero cooling. Is there any progs that will show core0 & core1 readings with phase?

jesus god, this thing burns cpus!
anyway to make it stress the second core?
well, now i know whatever is holding my overclock back at 3.2 isn't heat.
TAT doesn't work with my P5N32-E SLI... so i'm assuming it only works with mobos using Intel Chipsets (eg. i965, i975X etc..)
ASUS W7S-3P100E
* Intel Mobile Core 2 Duo T7500, 2.2 GHz 4MB L2 Cache 800MHz FSB
* Santa Rosa Intel Mobile PM965 Express Chipset + ICH8M
* 1.5 GB RAM DDR2-667MHz
* Nvidia GeForce 8400M G
* 160 GB HDD Hitachi Travelstar 5400rpm
* 13.3” WXGA (1280x800) ColorShine TFT-LCD Asus Splendid Video Intelligent Technology
* 8X DVD Super Multi drive with LightScribe
This Tool and CoreTemp give me similar temps:
Idle: 42-45C
Full load: 58-63C
but Giga and SpeedFan give me the temps that is 10C below:
Idle: 32-35C
Full load: 48-53C
I'm using E6300 OC @2.6Ghz with giga 965P-S3. I'm wondering which temp is right
/* Conroe E6420 @3.2Ghz, ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro, Giga 965P-S3-F9d, G.Skill Dual 2GB DDR2-6400 4-4-4-12-2T*/
/* ATI X1900XT @648Mhz/1512Mhz, Antec Neo HE 550W 3x18a +12V, 2x36Gig RAID0 raptors, 300Gig SATAII */
TAT doesn't work on mine E6600 and DFI Infinity 975X/G. Any workaround ?
Both temps are correct, sort of. TAT and CoreTemp give you internal core temps which are much higher than the normal CPU temp readings that we're all used to seeing and EasyTune and Speedfan give you an approximation of the thermal junction (Tc) which is comparable to other CPU temp readings.
Gigabyte GA965P-DS3
E6400 @390FSB/3120MHz (1.40V)
Scythe Ninja Plus 1500rpm fan

EVGA 7800GT-CO @500/1150
Seagate 7200.10 320GB/16MB SATAII
Etc.
I don't get it (yet). Under Vapo LS, both TAT and Core Temp tell me my cores are 13C, no matter what load, yet IDCC (on Bad Axe rev 305) seems to correctly report -37C idle up to about -12C load with Orthos. Any ideas?
doesnt work on the P5N-E SLI. gives an error that it cant start the auto clock adjustments or something like that.
basically it cant throttle the cpu, sounds like it doesnt like that i have C1 and EIST and thermal throttling off.

Thanks for the info lestat, I was just about to try it. I do have everything turned on so I'll give it a quick double check just in case

I have the same mobo & CPU and it doesn't work with me either. I get:Originally Posted by tifozif1

And then it decreases the CPUs clock speeds from 2.4Ghz to 1.6Ghz :< Any help?
doesnt work with my x6800 & asus striker board.
It needs an intel chipset, its an intel made software tool
Anybody know how accurate the temps are with TAT versus CoreTemp. My readings are actually close with both but just curious.
To make it work in 2003 try this (working for me -- originally not)Originally Posted by taemun
Right click the setup.exe --> Properties --> compatibility --> Windows XP
Let TAT uninstall (if already installed) then reinstall.
BEFORE you run the program for the first time:
Right Click the shorcut on your desktop (or start menu)
--> properties --> compatibility mode --> choose Windows XP
Run TAT, it will detect wrong OS and close
right click shortcut again --> properties --> compatibility --> Windows 2000
It will now open.
PS: I'm not sure about the Windows XP to 2000 thing, that's just the exact steps I took. in other words you can probably just set the shortcut to 2000 from the get go, but you will still need to install it in XP compatibility mode.

I'm trying to find TAT but I can't find it anywhere. I looked on Intel, but didn't see it. All I saw was the Intel Desktop utilties which I do not like.
Thanks!

I am also getting the error:

anyone know of a fix for this?
I am running a QX6700 on a Striker Extreme (Bios 1004).

Yeah if you want to heat up the CPU and see if your cooling is up to the task, TAT is the tool. It heats my CPU up more than Orthos.
