A Japanese bencher was testing Clovertown a few weeks ago. Scroll down to the middle of the page. He was also using a Supermicro board.

Sandra Multi-Media would be good.
Pov-Ray is a good rendering test http://www.povray.org/download/
There are also various chess benchmarks that you could try.
Please send me links to download benchmarksOriginally Posted by sierra_bound

I don't have links to chess programs. There are a lot of them.
The Japanese also use a rendering benchmark called Mandelbrot. If you're knowledgeable about mathematics, you'll know who Benoit Mandelbrot is.

Having used Kentsfield, I can tell you the rendering power is awesome. I'm sure 8-cores will be even better.
How do u run Povray benchmarks ?Originally Posted by sierra_bound

I think I read a blip about 3Dmark06 only going up to max three threads - I might be wrongOriginally Posted by Vapor

And it's still probably worth a shot to try this on 06, see if it does any better than a 4-core setup

OCT-AWESOME!
Seems like the Japanese bencher was running 266*9 = 2400mhz.
Please keep us updated thx

oh yeah, how about a simple MIPS shot from Sisoft Sandra...
you should try the Multi Pi Kunaak mentioned.
