SUB TIMINGS FOR 2GB NQ & 2GB NS

2GB NR can use the Asus timings, but G.Skill SPD timings are recommendable for optimal results.

10-10-10-10 will not work in most cases. The settings above are Gskill SPD sub timings!

they are not timings that i got by myself. they're really the sticks default value.

For thoose having problems running at 400 fsb in 4:5, use 401 instead. the problem is the chipset strap is in is limits at 400, and when you change to 401, it changes to 1333 starp instead of the 1066 used at 400.

    Cumps,

    Remo
I'm running at the 4:5 divider at FSB 390 (DDR2-975) at 4-4-4-12, and I tried the above subtimings, and my superpi 1M went from 14 sec to 18 sec. I'm back to 10-10-10-10, and my superpi is back to 14.4 sec.

    Hi,

I cannot get my GBPK RAM to run at the advertised speed / latency (CAS4) in spite of copying your BIOS settings exactly. My specs :

    P5B Deluxe (BIOS 614)
    E6600
    ATI1900XT
    2 GB PC6400 CAS4 G.Skill GBPK RAM

The system is not overclocked, temps are OK (CPU idle 38, load 44). The RAM is auto detected at CAS5 and system runs stable and fine at the looser settings.

I have also re-loaded the BIOS defaults and made only the changes suggested to make sure nothing else is affecting the RAM.

Once I make the suggested adjustments in the BIOS as per this thread to CAS4 4-4-4-12 on booting the system shows the BIOS start-up screen and then continuously crash cycles until I hit the reset.

I increased volts to 1.9V as shown on your screenshots and on the packaging but no further.

Maybe I am missing something - do you have any suggestions?

    Regards

Asus P5B Deluxe WiFi donīt post

Hi all. Iīve got a problem with this board...

    I got a brand new mobo, a conroe 6400, 2GB GSkill 6400 and a X1900 AIW. Connected all the devices (plus 4 SATA 80GB and a Audigy2 Platinum) and instaled a fresh Windows XP Pro + SP2.

The system turned on, I installed the motherboard drivers and used the ASUS UPDATE to update the BIOS. The BIOS the program selected was version 711. I downloaded it, the program flashed the BIOS and restarted.

When the system restarted, the blue Asus logo on the board became red, the cpu fan began to spin but that is all that happened. No bip, no video, nothing else...

I tryed to boot with the support CD to restart the original BIOS but again I get nothing because there is no action: no bip, no video. The mobo led, cpu fan, DVD drivers and HDs are working are working (lights are on), but there is no video... Monitor keeps saying NO SIGN.

Any ideas on what to do to get my system on again?

    Thanks

I have flashed to the latest BIOS 711 and re-tried all your settings as shown in this thread and my RAM will still only run at CAS5, crashes on CAS4 settings.

I have PM'ed and emailed you the serial numbers for my sticks

    Thanks again

In order to get this ram running at 500mhz with a 4:5 divider, you will need a nb volt of 1.65 and a sb volt of 1.7...also in order for it to be stable you will need to replace the nb cooler, stock cooler will not be enough......mine wasnt stable at 4-4-4-12 500mhz with a 4:5 divider intill i baught this......best 25 bucks ever spent :]

I am having problems with f2-6400phu2-2gbnr kits on a p5b dlx system bios 804

i have used the settings from the first post 5-5-5-15-4-42-10-10-10-10 1.8v upto 1.95v at stock ddr2 800 speeds. so far i have tested 3 kits using quick tech pro extended memory test and get errors on all 3 kits in different places
I also tested a f2-6400phu1-1gbnr kit and that worked 100%.

the serial numbers of one of the kits 6480901439309 and 310

May I ask how you found out that the subtimings are 3-11-7-13??
The other tech guys say: 3-10-5-13, and 3-11-5-14.....
Because I really want to run as 'tweaked' as possible.

SO this should run: (divider 4:5)

we looked into the motherboard timing and believe that is 100% 24/7 stable. we don't give tweaked timing since not all the user understand and might run into problem

if not working in dual channel, eitehr your board has problem or something wrong with ram. set to FSB266 and DDR2 533 and see dual channel works or not

should I be trying to get the lowest possible vdimm that my settings will run at and are stable? im testing e6400@2.67, 2:3 divider- @1004mhz (bios vdimm@2.3-dunno real, timings: 5-5-5-12-4-42-3-11-7-13), i got errors in MemTest/orthos with 4-4-4-12(even at bios vdimm 2.35).

The 5-5-5-12-4-42-3-11-7-13 is stable so far in memtest, afterwards should I try looser timings, like 5-5-5-10 or similar?
edit: im doing 4:5@835, 4-4-3-8-4-42-3-11-7-13 now- testing
