ya it looks promising, but from everything around the net about, it its not good at all still, it needs hard core bios work, sux cause its alot cheeper than p5b dlx, if they fix it up it might be the next best 965 mobo
True.. after testing the hole night i can really say bios needs some real hard tweaking.
But then again, the board is fast and has really great options!

board is solid when running stock settings with mem in single channle. Very few have gotten descent ocs out of it. I my self cant get 300mhz fsb stable, doesnt matter what volts for mch or vdimm or ram timings. not to mention the fact that you can forget tring to run dual channel. i got errors in windows running stock with mem majorly undercloked in dual mode. currently the newest beta still be inhouse tested at abit is 1.7b. There is a 1.4b up on the .cn sites but from the user that have tried it. It is worse then the offical 1.3, all we can do is wait.

the only good thing is that you can change fsb strap. Better lets wait for aw9d max..
bios 1.4 is out
http://forum.abit-usa.com/showthread.php?t=112612
Finally getting around to my first post. Been lurking for ages.
The new bios is not too bad - I look to be stable at 7x420, maybe more.
Slightly irritating though - uguru (for motherboard/temp monitoring etc) appears to have only been written with 400fsb in mind, so doesn't work too well at 410/420/430 (the program either crashes or won't display fsb).
I stopped at 430 since I couldn't see the temps and I'm on barely better than stock cooling. uguru also crashed at 410mhz, but not 420
Anyway, watercooling is coming when I get the time, and I'll see what it can do then. Unfortunately, my memory will probably limit me soon...

The board has indeed come a long way, but it still needs lots of loving.
I can run upwards of 3.4 Ghz on my E6600 but even at default speeds my board reboots and locks from time to time, it is fast but the problems are just tad too much for my taste, I will be looking for a new board in the next few months.

I'm totally stable at 430, but didn't have much luck at 440mhz. I can't tell if its the mobo or ram (my ram is Corsair XMS 6400, with my revision "featuring" promos chips according to the House of Help forums - it could well be the limiting factor at 440mhz, although I did try more voltage).
Downloading the latest version of uguru fixed the uguru related problems.

well im stuck for some odd reason not sure if its cause iof being a early board or bios or uguru.
