    A problem, maybe?

If you look on the device statistic page of "My grid": http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms...icsByDevice.do you will see andrew, sempron, and laptop. Sempron and andrew started like 5 minutes apart from each other, yet andrew has way fewer results returned. Why is this?

Unfortunately we need your login to look at your device details - its difficult to say why without knowing the spec for the two machines.

This project isn't based on a target run time like Rosetta. If you have a fast computer, it will process WUs faster. If the specs of both rigs are the same, they were probably doing different research (either aids, cancer or proteome folding).
    Main rig:
    CPU: I7 920C0 @ 3.6Ghz (180*20)
    Mobo: DFI UT X58 T3eH8
    RAM: 12GB OCZ DDR3-1600 Platinum
    GPU/LCD: GeForce GTX280 + GeForce 8600GTS (Quad LCDs)
    Intel X25-M G2 80GB, 12TB storage
    PSU/Case: Corsair AX850, Silverstone TJ07

Or the results from one machne just aren't valdatng as fast as the other.. All depends on the luck of the draw on who you get paired with on your quorum. Some rigs take over 48 hrs to run your wu's.

Was actually considering getting the old Alpha out of the closet, guess if nothing else, it'd make a good floor heater for under the desk when I get back to Idaho. Will probably have to run it through FX-32, as I don't think Boinc has compiled an alpha client =). ancient, and emulated, what could be better?
Gonna have to try and oc it now Get some benchies from an "original" 64 bit chip.

I have it put away with a motherboard and ram incase I ever feel the urge to ressurect it, I think it might even be overclocked to 233 too

May be able to do some serious crunching with linux client. That was a heck of a chip for its time.

In my loft I have a Sinclair Z64 Black and White and a z64 spectrum, then I upgraded to the Atari XT 400, with a tape boot, Ithen got the floppy boot drive.

No one can beat them, they were the first.

If they did, I expect youd need a back pack to put it in and train with it.
