    Nf7-s or 8rda+

well im getting another motherboard in hopes of better performance, and i was wondering whether i should get the new v2.0 nf7-2 or the 8rda+ with a1 northbridge. My board now tops out at 210fsb DC with the VDD mod.

It's a personal choice.. Both are good boards. I'm going for the Abit because I have the 8RDA+ now. I just want to know how far I can push the Abit

    ive used nf7 1.2 and 8rda modded.
i like the abit better, seems more stable and also the failed oc's tend to be alot easier to deal with also.

kinda liek comparing a camaro to a caddy, both go fast but one does it in style.

btw i just sold my backup 8rda and have a nf7-s rev2 on irs way

8RGA+ instead of the 8RDA+...no VDD mod and the voltage option goes up to 2.0v's (VDD) if needed.

Unless you are mod crazy, grab the Abit.

    mod crazy on a 8RGA+...the 8RGA non/+ doesn't need a VDD mod

Also...if you don't need all of the whistles and bells...the 8RGA might be in your price range...

I have a modded 8RDA+ and an non modded NF7-S v1.2, the NF7-S is definitely the better board, and you now have V2 NF7-S.

    Get one of them

yeh supposedly sata raid. but ive not seen one person get it working either. doesnt mean it dont work, might just be newbies trying something a little to complicated also.

my second nf7-s rev2 will be here tomorow and ill have it doing sata raid if it works. ill report back also.

i gave up on abit cuz of the bios deal, two wasted boards and lots of wasted time, i even ordered a spare bios from excaliber, that lasted for about 3 days. i had enough, and went with epox. my 8rda+ should be here tomorrow, hopefully with the A1 stepping.

Ive used ALOT of nforce2 boards, and the abit 1.2 was heads above the rest even my modded epox...until...until the ABIT 2.0 came out!!!

My 2.0 blew EVERYTHING away, 237fsb @ 1.6vdd mod free!... still has headroom with adjustable vdd in the bios

gotta love the CR18D chipset rawr
    Let the OC'ing begin!
