Dang, I got mine a little over a week ago and it's GOAAY - no 1.85VMCH for me.
Doesn't that only really help for higher FSB speeds though(400+)?

" High fsb`s like 500 mhz can be done by raising the chipset MCH voltage.Originally Posted by Brahmzy
On average, every 0.05V increase results into additional 7-8MHz. As a result, if you want to use up the entire clock generator potential that theoretically supports up to 500MHz FSB frequency, you should raise the voltage on the chipset North Bridge up to 1.85-1.9V. The maximum voltage setting allowed in the mainboard BIOS Setup is only 1.65V. This is the major limiting factor for successful Core 2 Duo overclocking"
problem solved with the e6600. MCH needs almost 2 V for 500 mhz .
266 mhz is like 1,5 Volt ? so if you wanna reach 400 mhz, you do the math

I can't imagine the outcry from the early adopters of this board and Conroe if Asus comes out with a new rev soon with higher vMCH... Yikes.
why outcry.. Asus didn't realise the need for higher MCH volts... then when end users asked for more MCH.. Asus delivered and revised the board to meet users needs

KM elektronics in Germany got one ^^

they got the new 1.02G with an 68 SN. But it only works with BIOS 1001 oder 1301

if better cooling is required for 1.85v MCH to work, shouldnt Asus revise the heatpipe design or add a mandatory fan?

LOL! so this is a handpicked Board manufactured to get a very good Review - just to raise sellings. And thats why noone else got 1.85V...Originally Posted by eva2000

Have u tested if u get 1.85V out of the Board? I saw some BIOSversion in the german Forum, where the Option to raise vMCH up to 1.85V appears, but the Boards doesnt do it - Multimeter checked...
I'll change my opinion if some more Boards with WORKING vMCH 1,85V appears out there.
PLZ post a picture of the BIOS-Chip - real BIOS revision is shown there!

I'm sure Asus didn't realize the need but what about all the early adopter folks that purchased their product and helped them to understand how to improve it... I guess they have no choice but to buy another board?Originally Posted by eva2000
Although this is often the price of being an early adopter, it would be nice if Asus offered some kind of trade-in or swap.
you could say the same thing about overvolting CPUs and that the intel stock fan isnt sufficient. fact is they design them to run stock speeds/volts. not that many people overclcok and technically intel 'loses' money when they do (unless they got an x6800)Originally Posted by situman

It should go to 1,85V but the GEAAY also is able to work at 1,85V with the right BIOS.

I have a new RMA from Asus coming Monday, so I'll let you guys know my info too at that point .
Can't you just call them up and ask if the sticker says G0UAY? Dang I wish read this thread yesterday. I was in Fry's looking at this mobo. I kinda staggered away when I saw the $300 price tag. Still ... I know Eva is loving his non-voltmodded, newly revised P5WDH. He ran off 8x440 1:1 dual 32m stable with a 6600 and 2x512. I wonder if the FSB would top out lower with 2x1024?Originally Posted by Shpoon
