And i want to know what is the best overclocking for my core2duo e6750? what are the right values to be adjust to the bios. Any comments or suggestions is greatly appreciated...

    hi all

I have a win ME Boot cd which i can boot with CD rom support.
works the same as a floppy disc.
I tried to flash my bios back to 1901 as i am 2206 at the moment.
but it said the bios was too old and to download a newer version.
Which procedure should i take to flash my bios back to the 1905 version?

I modded the radiator and put in a Danger Den Black Ice Pro and it dropped load temps t0 44-48.

    The Nautilus has some benefits:

    1) no mess
    2) reliable
    3) decent WC (not extreme) but for $150 bucks its not bad.

    Plus its moddable.

Do you have a link to where you purchased the Danger Den radiator?

Congratulation Lawrywild! What bios you are using? I like your revision of 2004 bios since there C1E and EIST are not linked to vCore, but I wondering are newer bios versions better for OC.

Here is a link for a guide on modding (all credit to this guy who did it first):

He used the Black Ice Extreme and felt it was too big. I agree and took his advice and went with the Black Ice Pro from DangerDen. The Extreme is very think and placing it back in the case, while doable, is very tough.

You will need the blue poly-elbows he describes and a dremel to mod the fan housing. Kathi at Danger Den is very helpful and will send you the right stuff if you ask.

So what kind of OC do you get w/ 2 sticks of RAM?

I'm hitting only 3.15GHz on my G0 Q6600 w/ 4GB of RAM. The thing that bothers me is that it does this practically at stock, but more volts doesn't yield any increase in stability.

If I can't get the OC stable at higher speeds, I may dump this board in favor of an X38 (once I see how well they are clocking).

CPU:FSB ratio 1:1 is the best option. You could plan for. As anything higher like 5:4 is a waste of power.

if i could switch my p5wdh deluxe rev1 for the latest revision at no cost, just the messing around swapping them over... would it be worth it???
would i get a better overclock if its a perfect board with the higher mch and possibly other refinement through each revision...
would i have to change anything in the os or will everything run just the same. wondering about the chipset drivers and firmware. or will everything be stored on my hard drives. will it boot up a G0 with an early bios or should i just swap the bios chips... or should i just hope it boots and then flash....
thanks for any assistance, i just like to be reasonably sure about what i'm doing.....

Exactly. It stuffs up Ghost as well. It's a piece of junk, as it has been for years. Asus should stop using this trash on top end motherboards and go back to Promise or something better. The best thing to do with JMicron is to disable it in the bios the first time you boot the motherboard.

I had the same problem. Switched to Asus P5K-E/Wifi. Now at 3.6Ghz - same cpu.

yes you could change the board and you would not need to put any drivers etc back , but to be honest if you were going to swap out your board you might as well get the x38, or i would keep what you have already imho, if you did change the board if you used bios 2103 thats a stable one and has the cpu codes for the G0 steppings

A lot of people on boards seem to swap out boards like they were changing socks. I have a question.. When I get my board stable...I have tons of settings, program installs (maybe 15 must have programs for me)..bookmarks (I know these are easy to save) etc. Does everyone do a fresh OS install...What is your method for swapping out a board... Does anyone do a swap with the old install intact...i.e. a Windows Repair install. I would be fascinated because many times for me it is not the cost but the headache of losing a night's sleep having to rebuild the new board to the way I used to have it and the way I liked it.

I am trying to see if there is a less troublesome way to approach this process. With X38 and X48 coming out I am excited at the prospect of new OC options but I am trying to prepare for it as best I can.

Just don't break anything when you do the transplant, easy to do with all the components that'll be lying around!

I haven't given up on my unknown PCI woe from the other page, if anyone has another idea.
